Swagbucks: $43 with HelloFresh Subscription + $20 off each of your first 4 orders

Update 9/24/19: Now 4,300 SB

Update 8/7/19: Up to 4,500 now.

Update 7/19/19: Offer is back. It’s now 4,000 SB on Swagbucks and 7,000 points on Mypoints (worth around $43).

Update 4/16/19: Offer is now for 6,000 SB instead of 3,500 SB.

The Offer

Direct Link to offer

Swagbucks has the following offers for new HelloFresh subscribers:

  • Earn 4,000 Swagbucks
  • Use code PRODEGEMAR19 to get $20 off your first FOUR boxes with FREE shipping (total of $80 in discounts)

Hello Fresh is a food delivery company that sends you all the ingredients you need, plus a recipe for a meal.

The Fine Print

  • You must use code PRODEGEMAR19 to earn SB. (In my experience, the promo code auto-populates.)
  • Layering other promo codes may prevent you from earning SB.
  • SB will appear as Pending for 32 days. Please allow 7 days for Swagbucks to show up as Pending.
  • This offer is only available to new HelloFresh customers/subscribers.
  • Must submit valid name, address, credit card and other subscription information to earn SB.
  • SB may be revoked for cancelled orders.
  • Offer may only be redeemed once (1) per user.
  • If your SB do not appear as Pending, please be sure to provide a picture of BOTH your 1st box and shipping label (contact information must be visible on label). If either piece of information is missing, you will not be eligible for credit.
  • If you are not credited within 32 days of offer completion, you have 14 days to contact the Swagbucks Help Center for further investigation. Help Center tickets submitted after the 14 day grace period are not eligible for further investigation and SB.

Our Verdict

The cheapest option seems to be 2 recipes for 2 people which comes out to $39, minus the $20 discount, brings the total down to $19. Far as I can tell, if you cancel after the first order you’ll still be eligible for Swagbucks. (I guess it’s possible you need to keep the subscription for 4 deliveries until you are past the 32 pending period, but I don’t see that in the terms.)

Stack with 10% back from Uber Local Offers.

Not sure it’s worth doing for the profit, but seems like a good deal to try out the service. Feel free to share your experiences or tips with Hello Fresh in the comments below. Similar offer can be found on MyPoints as well (5,000 points = about the same $35).

If you’re new to Swagbucks then please read our review. You can also get a bonus of up to $13 by using a referral link.

Anyone know if the past offers you’ve had to do 4 orders?

Myi

You can sign up with MyPoints for 5000 points aside for the $80 back in deliveries.

My points still aren’t in the account, and I just got my order delivered. When I signed up they asked for HELLO2019 (a week ago), so I might have to deal with the customer service a lot in about 3 weeks’ time 🙁

Did SB show as pending for anyone right away? Mine did not..

not for me

To follow up, I was given the points when I filled out a help ticket and provided the cim number.

Not for me either.

Don’t use swagbucks, you would never receive SB points they promised.
I placed an ordered 3 months and said my case was declined even order confirmation #, date and all other information were provided. Don’t waste your time.

agreed with this, SB points NEVER post for deals like this. They’ll just claim you didnt click through right and even after months deny you. Use them only for direct shopping trips.

Just because you didn’t get the points doesn’t mean everyone doesn’t. I have had the opposite experience with a recent Blue Apron deal, the points went pending right away and posted exactly 30 days later.

I just signed up with swagbucks for the first time for the $7 acorn offer and it didn’t show up under pending activity, so I emailed customer service and they credited my account within 24 hours. I was pleasantly surprised after reading the comments here, so I wanted to offer an optimistic data point

I’ve done two offers like this with them. The first one went pending right away and posted in 32 days. The second one didn’t post, opened a ticket at 40 days and was credited within 10 days. I kept screenshots of everything. It wasn’t a smooth experience by any means and don’t care to go thru it again.

After the second experience, I will take the same approach as Novacat, if it doesn’t go pending right away, I’ll cancel.

For the big ones like this that don’t post for me instantly or within one day, I go ahead and cancel my order. It’s hit or miss at best.

It’s not worth the headache. If you ever have a problem with SB points not posting customer service is absolutely terrible. Did 5 offers and had to file a BBB complaint for 2 of them to get credited. Surprised there has not been a class action lawsuit against them yet.

Mypoints is no better either.

They gave me the 3500 points in good faith immediately when I provided the cim code from my order.

Went with the offer last time, points never post, contact customer service and they request a bunch of email screen shot like order number with my email and delivery address, Hello Fresh never sent me those, there is no order number from HelloFresh to begin with. Inform them about that and CS basically said nothing they can do~

Like what other people said, if it didn’t post immediately, cancel the order right away.

There is an Order Number sent via email for your subscription. I received mine.

But yes, my points are not showing up as Pending either.

Just tried it, got the dreaded “This promo code cannot be applied, please remove it from your order”. I clicked through the SB offer… deal seems/appears dead.

I’ve always had success with these types of offers (Gobble, blue apron, etc). However, i placed my order today around noon, received the quick confirmation email from Hello fresh with order number but nothing yet on swagbucks. For those of you who did this today, have you received notification on pending SB yet? I checked the shop activity and nothing is pending. thanks!

I did it yesterday and the same situation with yours. No pending activity. I have submitted a request but doubt they will credit the points before the first delivery.

It does say in the fine print that it can take up to 7 days for it to even show up as pending

Jason

Certainly could be true. The only thing that concerned me was in the past all major SB deals have shown pending fairly quickly. I’ll be patient here. Honestly don’t see why they wouldn’t credit with receipt in hand.

Did this offer and haven’t received any confirmation from Swagbucks yet. I ran across a similar situation with the Hulu offer, but was credited after submitting my confirmation to customer service. I hope that I have the same success here.

Has anyone received their Points yet? Anyone?

SwagBucks has been ignoring my ticket and it’s been more than 2 weeks with no response whatsoever from them. Ridiculous.

John Doe

My 6,000 SB Points were finally credited yesterday by Swagbucks Customer Service. It’s still less than the required 32-day waiting period. It’s probably been about 2.5 – 3 weeks since I placed my HelloFresh order.

James Bond

HelloFresh adds about $8 in shipping charges and then discount the $8 charge, so the total comes to about $20 for 2 people x 2 recipes! So a net win of about $20 + 4 free meals!
