With Boxed, it’s the art of stacking that’s important, and it honestly confounds me.
Potential Stacks:
- Shipping should be free for new customers
- $15 off $60 for new users with referral (update: this might not stack with the Swagbucks deal)
- $20 back on $50 purchase for first time Boxed customers by linking your credit card with Drop and saving the offer (note: terms say this offer can’t be combined with other offers; hopefully it’ll stack with the SB deal)
- Promo code BULK for 10% off
- 4% back with Acorns (?)
Might be possible to spend ~$73, get 10% off, get $15 referral discount, get $20 Drop, and get $20 Swagbucks. All told it’ll be around $10 for $75 of goods if all works out.
No Amex Offer deal going on now, unfortunately. The Swagbucks should show up as pending within hours of the purchase, though it won’t fully credit for 32 days. Just remember Swagbucks occasionally don’t post properly so keeps the risks in mind.

My 2,000 SB Points were reversed too. It’s been more than 32 days since the Date of Purchase. Will see what they’d say about the Point Reversal.

Swagbucks are borderline fraud, be warned
Me too. I contacted Swagbucks but I got an instant email telling me to wait the 32 days before they can do anything.
Did either of you have spouses/roommates who also took advantage of this offer? My pending SB got reversed on 2/5, but my wife’s is still pending. I wonder if they are going to claim the offer was one per household. There was no such limitation in the T&Cs, which only said “one time per user.”
Same here, they also reversed my pending points. This was my first time using Swagbucks and boxed.com and probably the last time.
I am trying to figure out what triggered this. Did you use the GETBULK promo code? Did someone else in your household also do the offer?
I used the promo code and my total was still over $20. No one else has a Swagbucks or boxed account.
I am starting to suspect it is the GETBULK promo code that is causing the pending points to get reversed. My wife did not use it in placing her Boxed order, and her 2000SB are still pending. There was nothing in the T&Cs about not using other coupons, though, so I think that Boxed/Swagbucks are on pretty thin ice if that really is the reason.
Going to wait 32 days before contacting CS, I have a screenshot of the terms just in case they try to change them.
I was right. Swagbucks has now changed the T&Cs of this offer with the following sentence: “Layering other promo codes will void your ability to earn SB.” I guess they are going to try to apply this condition retroactively. Ridiculous!
I will try a chargeback if they don’t honor the original terms.
I don’t think your credit card is going to allow you to do a charge back when you ordered and received $20+ worth of goods. The Swagbucks deal is a separate “rebate”. If a SB deal doesn’t work, you just gotta move on.
After submitting a ticket, I got 2000SB credited to my account today without the 32-day waiting period, so it seems like this is fixable.

Created an account and placed an order yesterday for just over $50. Today got notification that my 2,000 swagbucks and 20,000 drop points were pending. Stacked with 15% off from code GETBULK.
I can confirm that $15 referral credit stacks with swagbucks $20 (though if using referral credits, you cannot use GETBULK or any other discount code). Hopefully will get $20 from drop as well. So I bought $65 worth of stuff for $10! Their prices for cleaning supplies like Tide, Cascade dishwasher pods etc is competitive with amazon.
Within a few hours, I got an email from Swagbucks confirming the Boxed.com Transaction and the 2,000 SB Points that are Pending. Paid $20.67 + 5% Cash Back from Chase Freedom = Money Maker + Free Groceries!
