T-Mobile Teams up with Pandora to offer Free Pandora Plus for a Year [Starts August 28th]

The Offer

T-Mobile Link | Pandora Link

  • T-Mobile teams up with Pandora to offer T-Mobile customers a free Pandora Plus subscription for a year which is regularly $4.99 per month.

Offer will be available for T-Mobile customers on Tuesday, August 28th, as part of the T-Mobile Tuesday program.

The Fine Print

  • To sign up, tap the Pandora link in the T-Mobile Tuesdays app between 4:59 a.m. ET on August 28 and 4:59 a.m. ET on August 29.
  • Limit 1/account.
  • New Pandora account may be required.
  • If you cancel T-Mobile service, free subscription ends.

Our Verdict

This is a one-year benefit for T-Mobile customers, not an ongoing benefit like their free Netflix offering. That said, it’s possible they’ll start putting this out once per year, similar to their MLB.TV subscription freebie which they’ve been putting out once each year for the coming year.

If you find this useful, it could turn out to be another ~$60 value you get from your T-Mobile service, a nice perk.

In related news, Verizon announced last week a partnership with Apple offering a free 6 month subscription to Apple Music for Verizon Unlimited customers.

Anybody else having trouble canceling the Pandora Plus 1-year subscription (so you don’t have to remember to do it in a year)? I logged onto Pandora.com from laptop but I don’t see the CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION button they say should be there. I get as far as hitting Settings, then Subscription, then the only thing on screen is a message box stating my Gift Subscription expires 8/29/19. I called TM customer support but they couldn’t help.

Does anyone know if BOTH partners in a two-line T-mobile plan can reap the rewards of this particular benefit? My wife and I are enrolled in the TMO ONE All In Promo (2 lines for ~$100). Z

I’m already good to go with Pandora Plus set up, but my wife is telling me she doesn’t even see the Pandora reward on her available T-mobile Tuesday rewards for today. I’m wondering if it disappeared for her after I redeemed it for myself, or if she is just missing it (she’s not very savvy with technology).

As a side note, I was pleasantly surprised that the upgrade to Pandora plus worked for my Pandora account, since I had already taken advantage of a trial memberships in the recent past.

Just upgrade to Note 9, and had to check the T-mo Tuesday account (still registered as primary acct with my S9+).

Jeff
Yes, it is just “one per account” which is still great and nothing to complain about (the basic Netflix account just the Primary account holder, but you can pay $3/mo for UHD and 4 users). Don’t use Pandora so don’t know if you can pay for a Family plan or more than one user.

The Ad-free Pandora 12 Mos free message, states that only Primary acct holder can unlock this deal. Hope this helps

Yes, somehow my number is not the primary account holder even though it was the first number transferred and I pay the bill. There was no issue with MLB because it was for any account.

Wonder if you’ll be eligible if you already have Pandora Premium. Maybe cancel before the day?
