Our Verdict

We’ll repost this on March 27th when it goes live, be sure to catch this while it’s live. Might even be possible to give away this membership – if anyone remembers from when T-Mobile ran this same deal last year, please let us know.

If you did the deal with last year’s T-Mobile offer, your subscription will expire on February 28th, I believe, which means you will be eligible to get this deal. If you bought a subscription, make sure it ends before March 23 to be able to get in on this deal, as per the fine print.

So here’s what I’ve been wondering. Once we’re signed up, can we then use on home TV via Wi-Fi? In other words, not on a mobile device, just home Wi-Fi. Last year I didn’t risk it, and language seemed unfriendly. But this year they seem to just prohibit other mobile devices. Can anyone confirm if this works and won’t get me kicked off? Thanks!

Watching on big(ish) screen sounds a lot better than a 4 inch screen.

Please don’t sell accounts, too difficult to police.

Thanks for the code, but I’m not actually a t-mobile subscriber, so I don’t think I can sign-up myself. Last year someone created an account (with a disposable email and password) and I changed both of those once I logged into it. Will forward you a $10 amazon gift card for the trouble if you’re willing to go through all that. Can email me at [email protected] if you’re willing. Thanks again.

If you’re on Android using Firefox & keep getting errors, switch to chrome for the sign up.

Got it. Thanks. Go, Pirates!

We decided to come home a day early from a long trip to Europe. Nice bonus to be home for that I wouldn’t be if we kept our original plans.

I just signed up from Abu Dhabi while on a trip so I am not sure the rule is being enforced. I was on wifi and roaming. Wifi calling was turned on.

Heads up that last year, I was under the impression that I had a whole week to redeem starting from Tuesday, but when I tried a day later, on Wednesday, the app wouldn’t let me, and when I contacted them, I was emphatically told no, I had missed my window, and there was nothing anyone could do about it.

The language this year appears to be explicit about having from 3/27 to 4/2, and In 2016 and before, you definitely had a whole week, but last year when they switched it to being provided via the T-Mobile Tuesdays app, it came with a reduction to a 24-hour window. So maybe it is in fact back to a week this year, but I’m not taking any chances.

If you want it, I’d say make sure to cancel any recurring MLB.TV subscription you have ASAP, and then set your calendar with a reminder to get it from T-Mobile Tuesdays on Tuesday March 27.

The fourth bullet you list is pivotal.

MANY people will be confounded by attempting to redeem over a wifi connection.

It isn’t intuitive why that’s required combined with the fact that other Tmobile Tuesday offerings are redeemable over wifi.

On the T Mobile website, this thread has some good info. According to pboggini the old 2017 TMO free subscription will not auto-renew because it ended in late February.

Today I signed in to my MLB.TV account, clicked into a game, went to Settings in the top right, and clicked into my Account. A/V Subscriptions in the left navbar shows me this:

Subscription Status
Your 2018 MLB.TV Yearly Access is currently active
Your subscription expires on Thursday, February 28, 2019.

If last years sign up process was anything like this year, the subscription must have expired at the end of February.
