Why does my local staples always hide the Visa Mastercards when they’re on sale for no fee.
Mine just puts them behind the counter, just have to ask for it.
The manager said it was to stop having to educate cashiers to only allow the max amount.
Better that, then some rascal coming in a few days before, and hiding the whole stash among product inventory.

Of course I get it on my Gold biz card I’m trying to meet spend for the SUB. I never need anything from Staples except gift cards but those are a no-go.
Only got it on the Marriott business card.
