The Offer
No direct link to offer, being sent out to existing clients currently. Suspect there will be a public bonus at some stage and we will repost when this is the case.
- Capital One is offering a bonus of $600 when you open a new business checking account and complete the following requirements:
- Use promo code BIZCHK600
- Deposit $10,000 within 30 days of account opening
- Maintain a balance of $10,000+ for 60 of the first 90 days of account opening
- Complete 10 eligible transactions (not including debit card, need to be ACH debits or credits and a few other options)
The Fine Print
- You’re eligible as long as you haven’t had a business account. for that business in the past 90 days
- All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them
Avoiding Fees
Monthly Fees
Basic business checking has a $15 monthly service fee, waived with $2,000 minimum balance
Early Account Termination Fee
There is no early account termination fee
Our Verdict
Not sure when the last Capital One business checking bonus was, I do think this is worth doing if you are targeted and hopefully it becomes public. If you put the $10,000 into a 5% account for the 60 days you’d earn ~$84 so this is significantly better.

I was targeted on the C1 app and have had a business credit card for about a year now. I applied for the basic account, it went to review and I got an email of approval within 1 hour. Will update my DP for bonus timeline purposes.
Basic account opened: 6/5/2025
$10.5k pushed: 6/6
$10.5 recieved: 6/11
Scheduled a few $1-5 debits to meet the 10 transactions by 6/25. Not sure if there is a way to verify that the 10 transaction requirement has been met, maybe via chat?
Planning to withdraw $8.5k after it’s been there for 70 days so on 8/20 keeping $2k to avoid monthly fee, once $600 bonus hits, will withdraw everything and close account.
the landing page i was provided from a representative:
https://www.capitalone.com/small-business/bank/bizchkpromo/
in the fine print it specifies “To become eligible for the offer bonus, you must have an existing Capital One Business credit card for 90 days prior to account opening…” so its terms make it very clear it is targeted. if anyone can confirm these were the exact terms and received the bonus WITHOUT a business credit card that would be great. also the new code is SBM600BONUS and although i didnt have a business credit card, i encountered no issues applying the promo and being approved for the account.
edit: i also asked about the holding period of 60 days and whether it had to be consecutive, rep said she didn’t see any terms that specified this so try at your own risk
The link still work.
“This promo code has expired.” – on the first page of application
Does it matter which biz checking type? CapOne has three: Basic, Enhanced, and Premier.
approved and already ach’d in 10k.
another 9 ach from the same bank should satisfy the 10 transactions requirements right?
Yes. An electronic ACH credit qualifies. I did a combination of deposits from Fidelity CMA as well as remote check deposits to satisfy the requirements previously and received the bonus. I made sure to do a few extra just to be sure.
ach in and out should count right?
so 5 ach in to cap one from external bank and 5 ach out from cap bank to external should satisfy?
Yes both ACH credits and debits count as individual transactions.
Do you know if the small ACH credits and debits of a few cents from the verification process when connecting another bank account also counts as part of the 10? (I know for the amex business bank account those counted but they had a tracker to make sure)
So money coming from Discover to Capital One is still a new money? Or they completely merged, and discover money is capital one money?
Did you apply as a sole proprietor if so, how did you find it?
Have a business credit card but was opened last year, will see what happens.
Promo code SBM600BONUS has been added. Bonus is contingent on meeting offer criteria, including having a Capital One Business credit card open for the last 90 days prior to application.
“Your next step is to submit a government-issued photo ID and take a live selfie to help verify your identity. You’ll receive a text message with a link to do so. If you don’t verify now, a link will be emailed to your personal email address shortly. This must be completed within 5 days or your application will be declined.”
Auto approved after ID and selfie. I didn’t sing in when applying, even though have personal checking. Because it gave error. So just stated as a new customer.
P1 did the offer previously and was not targeted and received the bonus. Attempted to churn after closing the account two months ago. Account still shows in online banking but says closed. Received a warning message that I was not eligible to open with the promotion code and cancelled the application.
P2 was not targeted but opened and was instantly approved. P2 has had the credit card for >90 days. Will deposit $10k within 30 days from non-C1 account, will hold until after day 90, and will complete 10 transactions (ACH transfers, mobile deposits).
You must have a EIN separate from your SSN in order to proceed with the application.
Not true – make sure you select sole proprietor.
