Chase IHG Premier Up To 120,000 Points + $50 Statement Credit

Update 4/8/19: Chase website originally said this deal would end on April 27th, 2019. It’s now set to expire after May 1st. Remember to apply for the offer with the additional $50 statement credit.

Update: Link found with $50 statement credit. Hat tip to reader Tan

  • This product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of this credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of this credit card who received a new cardmember bonus for this credit card within the last 24 months. This means if you have the old IHG card, you’re still eligible to get this bonus/card.
  • Chase 5/24 rule applies to this card

Our Verdict

Best previous offer has been  100,000 points + $50 statement credit. Shame that tht 5/24 rule does apply to this card, because I could see this offer being very popular. If you’re are under 5/24 then this bonus is worth considering if you value IHG points. As always read these things everybody should know about Chase credit cards before applying.

hopefully, this offer sticks around for awhile, Love to have another option as an alternative to SpG – seems like an easy way to add 240k pts later this year hopefully

Hey! I found the link with 50$ statement here https://creditcards.chase.com/a1/ihg/upto120k_ips?CELL=6S5G

Do you get 120k points by spending total $5k or $2k+$5k?

How worthless will they be later on with their upcoming variable pricing?

So if you have the old ihg card can u get this one as well (like have both)?

It clearly states the following: “This means if you have the old IHG card, you’re still eligible to get this bonus/card.”

Added a link to your post on Dan’s Deals https://www.dansdeals.com/credit-cards/highest-public-offer-ever-signup-chase-ihg-premier-card-get-120000-points/ so his readers would know a better $50 statement credit was available. Hard to hate on dan his articles are very helpful on how to maximize everyday spending miles and points .Something generally not found on doc.Of course the best way is to use both blogs. Before you complain about anyone check out tpg.

Confused by this in “Our Verdict”:

“Shame that tht [sic] 5/24 rule does apply to this card”

But the DoC 5/24 page says IHG Premier is not affected by 5/24. Went through the DPs in the comments and they’re kind of mixed, but seem to suggest that you can get approved for the Premier even if you’re over 5/24.

Can you clarify?

nm, saw your post about all Chase cards now being under 5/24. Bummer …

Didn’t see “5,000 bonus points after you add an authorized user and they make their first purchase” on the page, is it for all offer even it is not stated?

I got my 1st statement and the 5k points were not their so I called chase and the rep told me that “it is not included in your offer but you got the $50 after 1st purchased it could be that’s why”

Is this a good offer to do?

Can the $100 tsa credit be used for someone else(spouse). I used my Amex platinum so I am covered until 2022. Could my wife apply for tsa, pay with my cc and get reimbursed?

MTPDC
MTPDC

Yes. Just pay with the card when you start the process.

Kaybee

The terms clearly state you can either be reimbursed for global entry fee or TSA precheck. It mentions nothing of a spouse or AU being covered. Id assume a no.

Kyle
Kyle

No, you definitely can. I’ve done it for my girlfriend and for my son with different cards. It’s a reimbursement when they see the charge on your card. They never see whose name is on the application or anything like that. Just like an Amex or Chase offer to spend $50 at Petco and get $15 back (for example) – doesn’t matter if it’s for you or your friend’s dog – you get the credit. Cheers,
–Kyle

They have no way of knowing whose global entry/precheck fee the card was used for so yes, it can be used for anyone.

mary w
mary w

Yes, can be used for anyone. All Chase sees is the charge on your card with no name attached.

The DJ

Thanks for this! I recently applied with the previous 80K offer (we stay at IHG properties often during our roadtrips as they have good pet-friendly options for us). I was able to get them to match me to this offer (not the $50 credit though).

Any way to know how long this offer will be available? THanks

As per chase secure message that the 120k signup bonus is valid to May 2, 2019.
But on the website it says 4/27.

Anyone able to get this approved with over 5/24?

Jace
Jace

I don’t believe it is possible to be approved while above 5/24.

Kaybee

I was curious. Fourth night free? Went to investigate fine print. Only if you pay for the ENTIRE stay with points and points alone. “Members can utilize the 4th Reward Night Free benefit on an unlimited number of stays annually. IHG® Rewards Club Reward Night terms and conditions apply. Offer does not apply to paid stays or Points & Cash bookings.”. … So you need 120,000 points banked up on ONE card to be able to earn that fourth night free. That’s not as friendly.

Kyle
Kyle

The points just have to be in your IHG account – not tied to this ONE specific CC. And 120,000 is assuming the nights cost 40,000 points. You may find a place for 15k points per night and get 4 nights for 45k points total. 🙂 Hilton (and I think others) are 5th night free, so this 4th night free is really pretty slick. Cheers,
–Kyle
