[Expired] Chase IHG Premier 100,000 Points + $50 Offer (Still Available)

This bonus is no longer being offered unfortunately. You can view the best current credit card bonuses by clicking here.

Update: This offer is still going strong.

Bloggers with affiliate links are reporting that the 100,000 point offer will expire on October 4th. It’s unclear if this 100,000 + $50 deal will also expire, or only affiliate links. Either way here’s a friendly reminder you can get an extra $50 by using the link below.

Link found for +$50 statement credit offer.

The Offer

Direct link to offer

  • Chase IHG Premier card is offering the following sign up bonus:
    • 100,000 points after $3,000 in spend within the first three months
    • $50 statement credit after first purchase

Card Details

  • Annual fee of $89 (not waived first year)
  • Sign up bonus of 100,000 points after $3,000 in spend within the first three months
  • 5,000 bonus points after you add an authorized user and they make their first purchase
  • Card earns at the following rates:
    • 10x points per $1 spent on IHG properties
    • 2x points per $1 spent on gas stations, grocery stores and restaurants
    • 1x points per $1 spent on all other purchases
  • Free night certificate on card anniversary, this is limited to properties that cost 40,000 or fewer points
  • Automatic Platinum elite status
  • Fourth Reward Night Free on any stay of 4 or more nights
  • 20% discount when purchasing points
  • Global Entry or TSA PreCheck fee credit
  • 10,000 bonus points when you spend $20,000 or more and make one additional purchase each account anniversary year
  • This product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of this credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of this credit card who received a new cardmember bonus for this credit card within the last 24 months. This means if you have the old IHG card, you’re still eligible to get this bonus/card.

Our Verdict

Card is not subjected to the Chase 5/24 rule. Best previous offer on this card was 80,000 points + $50 (I did say I wouldn’t be surprised to see a 100,000 point offer).  At 100,000 points + $50 statement credit it’s a great deal, and I highly doubt we will see a better offer. As always, read this post of things everybody should know about Chase cards before asking questions in the comments. For example Chase usually matches sign up bonuses within 90 days, but sometimes it’s an issue when a statement credit is attached. Shouldn’t be an issue this time as both offers have the statement credit. Will be adding this to the best credit card bonuses.

Hi William I received the 100k + $50 credit upon booking. Can’t share the link and in reddit my post got auto-deleted. It’s definitely possible.

Did it say how long the offer would be available?

Curious about it as wlel

Can the points be cashed out?

Looks like only redeem for hotels or gift cards. Not that useful for me.

Do we know the conversion rate between points & gift cards?

The 100k+$50 sc on the dummy booking is working now.

Ugh, this is so tempting, anyone been shut down by Chase recently… I already have 5 chase cards and a ton of apps this year lol.

I can’t believe the earn rate is so bad though. 1x IHG points on regular spend and 2x IHG points on gas, grocery, and restaurants. 10x on IHG purchases though, so this card really is designed for road warriors who frequent a lot of Holiday Inns.

Don’t risk it. I did and lost my last IHG uncapped free night 🙁

Ouch, I guess I will sit this one out then. Bleh 😞

I thought only upgrade to this card will lost the uncapped free night? Hows having 2 cards lost your uncapped free night?

can u plz explain further? details would help a lot.

If I had to guess I’d say that when Chase shuts you down and cancels your cards, you lose your free night you would have gotten on your next anniversary.

If there’s no card then there can be no Anniversary.

But if you get shutdown after the certificate is issued to your IHG account then it’s still useable. Just an FYI

Why would you lose the free night?

I have the $49 IHG platinum card, can I still apply for this card and get the bonus?

A lot of chase cards.. Not dare to try…

KP

How many?

Megg

Me too…I’ve got 8 chase cards right now. Haven’t actually closed any before though. I have the old $49 IHG card. Am at 1/24 (although I’ve opened 3 biz cards within the past 3 months). This is a really good offer here; not sure what I want to do at this point.

Matt
Matt

That’s tough. I’m at 8 right now myself (this and british airways brought me to this). I am LOL/24, but if I was 1/24 I’d probably go for it. As you said, you haven’t been a problem account. I haven’t closed any chase cards too fwiw, only downgraded.

I’d say 100k plus the 5k AU is as good as 100k plus $50.

Plus a Precheck Credit is nice too!

Where can I find the link to invite someone so that he gets the offer. I am already IHG member and got similar deal longtime back but for 45 annually

Abey

Wow. I wonder if they will match whoever applied upon new card release.
Gonna secure message them for a 20K match.

Seconded on keeping us updated for the match. I got this card in May. I like your posts here!

I got this card about a month ago with a sign up bonus of 80,000k (no $50 statement credit) for $2000 spend. They just approved my match request but specifically stated no match on the $50 statement credit.

My recent secure message said I could keep the $50 statement credit while matching to the 100k offer. Same as others, I need to reply when I meet the spending requirement:

I’d like to confirm that the offer on your account is:- Earn 80,000 bonus points after spending $2,000 on purchases and a $50.00 within the first three months of account opening. – Earn 5,000 bonus points when you add your first authorized user and make your first purchase in the first three months from account opening.

The offer you requested is: – Earn 100,000 bonus points after you spend $3,000.00 on purchases in the first three months your account is open. – Earn a $50 statement credit after first purchase. – Earn 5,000 bonus points when you add your first authorized user and make your first purchase in the first three months from account opening. The option to match the 100,000 bonus points with a $50 statement credit is available. However, you have already received the $50.00 statement credit. We will be happy to match only the 100,000 bonus points after you spend a total of $3,000.00 within the first 3 months. Further, the offer with 5,000 bonus points for adding the Authorized User. Our records show you haven’t met the spending requirement. After you have met the required spend, you will receive the 80,000 bonus points automatically and we request you to please reply to this email to claim the additional 20,000 bonus points offer.

From what time I’ve seen and read if you’ve already received the bonus they won’t match, but if you’re waiting for it to come it still working towards the SUB then you’ll likely get a matched offer. If that makes sense.

Do i dare go for this at 3/24 (csp, sw, amex BCP) considering i stay at ihg hotels 3-4 times a month?

James

Very tempting, but pass. I already have 4 Chase personal cards, including IHG $49 version, and 2 Chase biz cards, so don’t want to risk being shutdown.

Tim

What do you mean by “being shutdown”?

Matt

Wow really lucking out with applying within the normal matching window…first the citi premier, now this. Sent an SM, hopefully will get a match.

Everyone keeps talking about chase shutting down accounts in the comments. I have 5 credit card accounts with them. Last sign up with them was in March. Are you saying there’s a good chance they would shut down my accounts if I applied?

Matt
Matt

I had 6 cards with them…before I applied for this IHG Premiere Card and the British Airways on the same day. So now that’s 8. It’s really YMMV. I’ve never tried to f*** Chase over before besides typical churning, so I took the risk that my file wasn’t problematic.

JM
JM

I had 6 cards with Chase in March when I applied for UA Explorer and was auto approved. I was at 4/24 at that time. I will soon be 2/24; have closed 2 cards recently that I had for 3-4 years and do plan to go for another Chase card in a few weeks, though not this one.

frogger

I think they only shutdown people that look like break-out risks. So if you have a home and a car loan probably not going to get shut-down

MickeyMouse
MickeyMouse

A home and car loan with them or in general?

Also what do you mean by break-out risk?

KP

Context:
This card has been on my radar even before the Premier card launch. I have four Chase personal cards (CF, CFU, CSP, Hyatt). Approved for CSP via in branch offers in Jan and approved for Hyatt in March. I am 6/24 but will be 4/24 in October.

Question #1: All this talk of shutdowns has me nervous; but should l just go on and apply for this now?

Question #2: Any idea of when this offer expires?

Abey

If im you i wait till October when youre 4/24 and apply for Ink Preffered and after 3 months for Ink Cash and then maybe a United Southwest or Marriott card which has the 5/24 rule (you still gonna be 4/24 after both Inks) the IHG you should wait for when youre over 5/24.

KP
KP

I want the IHG for a specific redemption. I decided to go on and apply and I was approved instantly. I also plan to get the new Amex SPG next month since I consider it a keeper card with the annual free night it has now. After that, I will do a long stint in the garden and THEN get the Chase biz cards to re-up on URs.
