Check your AmEx Offers, U.S. Bank Offers, Wells Fargo Offers (and possibly other banks) for the following deal:
- Get 10% cashback on Home Depot in-store and Homedepot.com purchases through 12/3/25, up to $25 cashback.
Our Verdict
This should work on smaller orders until you max out the $25 cashback. We recently saw a similar offer for online orders only, and this deal they are allowing store purchases as well.
You can buy a variety of gift cards at Home Depot stores. And you can buy Home Depot gift cards and e-gifts online at Homedepot.com – far as I can tell those go through the regular checkout system and should be eligible as well.

Better than Discover if there is a chance if there is returns involved. Otherwise it would be stuck with a gift card from a drug store (same 10% if your churning – also better you don’t have to wait a whole year as well for the match).

It must be hidden among the 200+ offers available that I’m never going to use.
You know you can search by merchant, right?
The offer shows up only briefly. They’re either only making it available for a short time to add or they might be limiting the number of users that can add the offer.
This is a repeat offer from last month but it also disappears very quickly.
I saw it and added to one account, then I asked P2 to choose the card she wants this to be added. The next day the offer disappeared from her account before I could add it.

Just got this on Amex BCE, 10% back on HD up to $250. Not super useful for me personally, but maybe others also have it 🙂
I wonder if HD sells gift cards that you can use as holiday gifts
That was my thought (I’ve done it with Lowe’s and Best Buy before), but my HD’s gift card selection is a bit rough (lots of has-been brick & mortar brands or ones that don’t exist in my area—Circle K and Casey’s that seem strangely absent from our city of 250K, but are about an hour or so away)
Mine did have Apple, Google, no Amazon, Target, eBay, Delta, and Southwest, so there might be something there!
I’ve purchased gift cards online earlier in the year when there was an offer through the Chase IHG Premier Mastercard and got the credit. Sadly, Home Depot seems to have a limited selection compared to Lowes. There’s no Apple gift card online or in store at least at my local a Home Depot.
Nothing on Wells Fargo Active Cash or US Bank Cash+ or American Express Everyday Blue Cash.
I do have $250 back on $1000 with Cunard on the Amex. I don’t think I have ever seen that offer before.
I know the post says Amex but should you buy gift cards at HD when they might not pay out?
I bought gift cards when I had the $25 cash back for $250 at Best Buy on Amex.
Got the $25.
I bought a $250 One4All gift card (along with ~$10 of merchandise) in-store on December 1st. Points tracked correctly and Amex reimbursed me $25 the next day.
Eligible for the USB double cashback promo around T-day.
Showed on my two AMEX cards this morning, logged back in this afternoon and don’t see it on either card- huh?
