  • Get 50,000 Southwest points after spending $2,000 within 3 months + $100 statement credit after first purchase

Card Details

  • Annual fee of $69 is not waived the first year
  • Card earns at the following rates:
    • 2x points on Southwest airlines purchases
    • 1x points on all other purchases
  • 3,000 Anniversary points after card member anniversary
  • This version (Plus) does have foreign transaction fees

Our Verdict

Both of these targeted offers are great deals. The standard/high bonus offer on this card is 50,000, and the occasional (targeted) 60k offers are usually for the Premier version which has a $30 higher annual fee.

Most people will prefer the 60k offer more than the 50k + $100 gift card offer. In any case, these are targeted so take what you got. There’s also a 60k business Southwest card offer available to all. Of course, most of us are post-5/24 and won’t be eligible in any case.

If you got this targeted offer and have recently applied for the card, call or SM to get the better offer matched. Check out 26 these things to know about Chase here.

I received one of these emails but I can’t seem to find the invitation code in the email so how do I apply? Help, please!

Does chase offer Southwest (business or personal) in branch?

Not in branch pre-approvals, not sure if you can just do a regular application or not though.

Has anyone without an offer code been able to get a match for this yet? I sent a request in, have not received an email from SW, they told me that I needed an offer code.
Also, can I use someone else’s code who doesn’t plan to get the card, or are they tied to the specific rr account number?

I signed up for a 40k reward points and before i received my card the 60k offer came out. I have spoken with both sw and chase and both said they would honor the 60k no problem. As a matter of fact the guy from Chase sent an email to marketing to credit me with the extra points.

Can you send a generic screenshot (i.e. from someone else’s targeted email) to Chase and get matched? What DPs, either positive or negative, have people come across?

Wow, I just recieved the offer today, however I JUST applied to the Plus a couple of weeks ago, is there a way to match this offer? I called and they gave me the run around and said its only for business cards only. Clearly, it says Southwest Plus, any ideas? SM through chase? thanks

Probably won’t work, but you can try. They should be able to see if you were targeted or not.

DW got the 50,000+$100 offer but I am saving the pull (3/24) for some cash only offers as we don’t travel much and I’m going to be getting the companion pass anyway (Got two SW RR cards recently).

You can turn the RR points into $500 target gift cards plus $100 cash for $69. That is a pretty good cash offer if you shop at target. I think they have Walmart to etc.

Thanks @Mark O
Didn’t know that you can buy GCs with SWRR points.
Looks like they have lot of GC options including Amazon.

Yes, they do have Wal-Mart. I’ve also exchanged RR points for Panera Bread, Honeybaked Ham etc. as well as SW gift cards which might not make sense to some. But I wanted a stash which could be used to purchase travel and earn points down the road vs. award travel from points which would not. And if you get in a long dry spell with WN their gift cards don’t expire but their points do. To me those two reasons were worth the hit I took in the exchange.
