The Fine Print
- This Promotion is available to individuals who (1) receive the promotional offer from SoFi, (2) submit an application for term life insurance through Ladder at www.ladderlife.com/sofi, and (3) are not residents of AK, DE, IA, LA, ME, MS, MT, NH, NM, NY, PA, VA, WA, or WV. Once conditions are met, SoFi will mail a $25 check to the address on file, before the end of the next calendar month after the application at www.ladderlife.com/sofi has been completed.
Our Verdict
I can’t tell if you actually need to apply for the life insurance, or just get a quote. Good deal if it’s just a quote, bad deal if you actually need to apply for life insurance. The similar personal/student loan deal only requires checking rates.

I never got the $25, and I went to the end with a full quote. I even contacted the agent to discuss the terms. Pass, it’s a scam.
That’s the SoFi way
before posting HERE again, chat with Sofi. I find them overly accommodating; they opened exception ticket for my $75 appeal, and I quickly ended with $125 marketing credit instead. Let us know what they did for you!

I did get the $25 as a Check dated 1/7. On 12/16 Did the quote all the way to the point it askes for salvia samples. Received the confirmation from Ladder that I Had an application. I even received the kit to send in but never did. I assume I wouldn’t get the $25 but was surprised to receive the check.

I gave up at the screen where they were asking me to schedule a visit of their technicians to take my bodily fluids.
And my application was not submitted yet at that point.
It is a fraud, do not fall for it. You will disclose all your private data to who-knows-wh0-are these-crooks
and you will not get $25, LOL
Update: I did get $25 check in a few weeks
I went through application. They requested I submit a saliva sample…nope. No thanks.
I bailed at that point as well and got my check in the mail. Keep an eye on your mailbox.

Does applying require giving phone number? $25 isn’t worth having my phone ringing all the time.
I give a fake phone number for this sort of thing
P1 did this a while ago and got the $25 check about 3 weeks after applying. P2 just got this offer as well. It might take 5-10 minutes to submit the application, easily worth $25.

It seems I only received a check of $5 today. I thought I’d expect $25 after the quote.
