[Targeted] U.S. Bank Business Edge $500/50,000 Sign Up Bonus

The Offer

Targeted snail mail offer

  • Earn a cash sign up bonus of $500 after $4,500 in eligible net purchases in the first 150 days on a new U.S. Bank Business Edge Cash Rewards World Elite MasterCard
  • It also seems like the same offer is going for the points version of this card but offering 50,000 points instead. I have no idea how much these points are worth.

us bank business card

Card Details

  • No annual fee
  • Earn 3% cash back cellular, gas and office supply store
  • Earn 1% cash back on all other purchases
  • Receive a 25% bonus on the previous years cash back earned, up to $250

Our Verdict

Hopefully this is a sign that U.S. Bank wants to aggressively enter the business card market like they are doing with the personal Altitude Reserve card. Obviously a very good cash sign up bonus and one I’d be going for if I was targeted without any hesitations (assuming you can meet the minimum spend. Just remember that you have 150 days instead of standard 90). There are better cards to put your gas, office supply and cellular purchases on though.

$500/150 days is still active. Approved after a few days pending, I’ve opened up about 12accts/24mos and have a visa flexperks currently and a gold flexperks prior, have those 2 small bureaus that us bank pulls frozens also (acs, clear?) Applies as sole proprietorship, no documents needed, put 45k as biz income

I recently got approved for a similar offer, but it was $600. Slight improvement! I jumped on it

I just received this $500 mailer, so it’s still active.

I had a credit card offer in the mail from US Bank for a $200 cash back once I spent $1000 on my US Bank credit card within the 90 day window. So I applied for my small business and was sent the card. I have now called them twice since the ninety days are up and 2 more weeks have expired and still no $200 as promised. (It’s the main reason I signed up) They rep told me that my card has the $4500 within 150 days spend to get $500 cash back. (isn’t this bait and switch?) I told her no I distinctly remember why I signed up and she said I would have to send them the letter stating the $200 was my card offer. I have looked and evidently threw away the letter so accordingly I’m out of luck on this I guess. I’m very disappointed and after I pay it off I won’t be using US Bank again for anything! Be warned and beware of their false offers.

Received the targeted offer for 50k bonus points after $3k spend in 120 days on the Business Edge Select (back in December). My points have posted and I can confirm the lower point values Adam mentioned above.
-$0.0067 in cash back via statement credit
-or up to a maximum of ~$0.0085 in merchandise or gift cards

Best value seems to be the $500 Visa Gift Card for 60,000 points (descending value Visa GCs are available for descending cpp value)

After finishing the min spend and waiting for points to post I’m wondering if it would later be possible to product change from the points version card to the cash back rewards card. The 3% categories are worth keeping around but not on 3x points since it’s not a true 1% value on each point. Any chance anyone knows if possible?

I received the $500 spend bonus Business Cash card offer today, but already have the same US Bank Business Cash card from a previous targeted offer about 6 months ago. Fully expect my application for a 2nd card would be denied because of this, true?

Do you think the 25% annual bonus applies to the $500 making it a $625 signup bonus?

I don’t have experience with the 50k points but both my wife and I received the Business Edge Cash Rewards $500 offer in the fall. The fantastic thing (that I thought was too good to be true but found out it wasn’t) is that my offer said:
something like “each card that meets he spending requirement will receive the bonus.” So on one of our offers we got an extra employee/AU card and effectively turned that one into a $1,000 signup bonus.
