Our Verdict

Not a huge bonus, but every dollar adds up. As always make sure to compare portal rates to ensure you’re getting the best deal. Some readers have had issues with these smaller bonuses posting, so keep that in mind as well.

Avoid TCB at all costs. In the end you’ll take in more by using lower cashback at eBates or others.

These bastards deny claims more often than not. Unlike eBates (where issues are rare), they won’t make any effort to make good on cash back. They’ll most blame you and the merchant and say there’s nothing they can do. Look at the other recent posts on TCB for many other examples of this.

That has not been my experience with Topcashback. They have always given me my cashback at competitive rates and have even went to bat for me a couple times when merchants refused my cashback.

It took me 10 months to get cashback from Best Buy and that required two dozen messages and when they did pay out they only gave me half. Three Amazon device transactions didn’t post they said SOL. eBags ($100 with of cashback) didn’t pay, they said SOL. GF bought an HP laptop, wanna guess? Claim denied.

I know cashback is highly YMMV but TCB always seems to blame the customer while in the two occasions I had an issue with eBates they paid out even when the merchant denied the transaction validity.

In 2016/17 TCB was golden for me, even paying out on some GC purchases. Not anymore, they’re constantly missing ebay purchases and other major retailers.

They went from my #1 portal to probably my #5 or worse. Ebates, ibotta and Mr Rebates much more reliable for cashback these days. Swagbucks is good too.

Good to know… I was just deciding which portal to use for some purchases. This works out well… John 3:16
