Uber Ride & Save – Get An Instant Discount This Week, Reach The Ride Requirement & Get A Bigger Discount Next Week

Uber has launched a new promotion called ride & save, eligible customers should have been sent an e-mail (subject line should be ‘Ride & save with xx% off this week’) informing them they are eligible but it’s also available in app. Basically you’re offered an instant discount this week of 10%/25% and then if you meet the ride requirement (varies by offer) you’ll get a bigger discount next week. Seems this will run for a total of 4-5 weeks depending on the specific offer. Uber seems to be constantly testing new promotions and ride passes, let’s see if this one sticks.

Me too, I had it for the past three weeks and it ended this Monday. It was agreat deal and it worked nationwide. Also the 30% off was good for up to 20 rides per week up t $10. Higher than the usual offers. Also it applied to Uber pool rides. A huge savings and tax free!. I hope it comes back for me!

Hey Chuck,

Looks like this has been out for my city for a while, Seattle. I often got offer like, ride 4 per week and get 50% off next week. 25% off is the norm for me.

I got this in the past, early June-ish through July 4th weekend. I got targeted again on Monday morning (currently “today”). A few things I’ve learned:

I live in Austin. Fine print says only valid in certain cities, I’m almost positive for the last offer it did include Austin; however I did not notice the cities listed until right before my trip to Seattle where I planning to Uber a lot over July 4th weekend, and Seattle was not included. It DID give me the discount there. I forgot what the discount amounts were exactly, I think 20 and 40%. While in Seattle, even with the discount I often still found Lyft cheaper unfortunately.

This time I was in Chicago and flying out early Monday morning. I had done an Uber while in Chicago a few days prior. The terms of my offer this time say “Promotion is valid in Sacramento, New York City, San Francisco, Boston, Los Angeles, and Chicago on Express Pool, Pool, UberX and UberXL.” I landed Monday morning, and Ubered home from the airport and 25% discount successfully applied in Austin. My targeted offer is 25%, 50% for 1 and 3 rides respectively. While in Chicago, I many times opened the app and decided not to Uber (lollapalooza price surges, walked instead). Not sure if that made me targeted for the higher discount.

Like others, I got this offer for four weeks last month. I’m based in Atlanta. Uber started requiring needing 7 rides a week to get a discount the next week, but then went down to 4 rides a week to get a 50% discount next week. However last Monday I got the same weekly email offering me take 1 ride this week get 25% off next week, and take 4 rides this week get 50% off next week but the promotion didn’t show up in the app. I took the four rides last week Uber did not honor the emailed promotion this week, even after corresponding at length with Uber Priority Support (I’m an Uber Gold member). Lesson: do not trust Uber promotional emails and only go by what you can see in the app.

I’m seeing this offer in my account every week.
Take 1 ride to get 25% offer next week rides. 4 or more rides to get 50% offer.
Last week I didn’t take any ride but i still see 25% offer in my account today.. 🙂

I got this promo a few weeks ago and it ran out yesterday. It is maxed at $10 per ride, but a good deal for frequent rideshare company users.
