[Live] Verizon – Free Year Of Disney+ For Unlimited Customers

The Offer

Direct link to offer

  • Verizon is offering new and existing customers with unlimited data plans one free year of Disney+ starting November 12th (when the service launches)

The Fine Print

  • This auto enrolls you in a membership so you will be charged $6.99 per month after the initial free period if you don’t cancel

Our Verdict

Bit annoying for those who signed up for the three year discounted membership already (Update: if you purchased that offer then it will be paused for 12 months while this Verizon offer takes over. Great news!). Other than that this is a great freebie, just remember to cancel before the year is up unless you want to keep paying for the service.

Confirmed – My sister signed up for Verizon taking advantage of credits for switching from Sprint. Got Samsung S10 with credits against cost of that phone by trading in a poorly functioning Samsung S6 and the free year of Disney deal was included too.

Any idea if this could be upgraded to the bundle with Hulu and espn?

Darn, I’m unlimited customer from about 10 years ago (when it was truly unlimited without throttling) but no love for me 🙁 Oh well, at least my bill is only $100 including all taxes and fees.

Super easy process for me. Went into Services (under Account) in the MyVerizon app on my phone, went to Entertainment, signed up, then downloaded the app on my cheapo RokuTV and logged in. Set a calendar reminder for Nov 1, 2020 and we’re good to go. Even Stevens, here I come!

Horrible rollout. Can’t even use a code for roku like every other channel, had to type in my entire email and password using the remote.

Coupled with all the other issues, yes pretty horrible. You try typing in an email and 20 character randomly generated password 1 character at a time with a remote. Not fun.

Bought the 3 year deal, emailed their support a week ago or so, they said you don’t have to do anything, just add the Verizon.

Added Verizon this morning, date stayed November 12th 2022. Sent an email to their support.
Have no worries of them honoring it.

Yes, my account now says Verizon promo is active but the end date was not pushed back to 2023 as it should be.

Amusingly, the site is warning me that my credit card on file is about to expire. (It actually expires early 2022). When they update my account to 2023, I won’t have any credit cards with expiration that far out!

I had the 3-year deal and set up the Disney + account this morning. Then, I saw this deal and have tried to add it. When I go into Verizon, it shows I’ve activated the deal, but it also says this:

“We noticed you haven’t set up your Disney+ account yet. Before you can start streaming, you’ll need to create an account through the Disney+ sign-up page. Make sure to use an email address that isn’t linked to an active Disney+ account.”

Anyone know how you can link it to your account if you can’t use the same email address that’s tied to an active Disney+ account? Makes no sense!

My assumption is because you pay your Verizon bill monthly and that they probably pay Disney monthly that the renewal date is going to move back one month at a time as the Verizon Promo gets applied. ~Still waiting on support to confirm this for me though~
