Virgin America has been acquired by Alaska Airlines and yesterday they automatically linked some accounts (along with letting us know that Virgin America points would convert to Alaska Airlines at a 1:1.3 rate). Those with Virgin America status will also receive a ‘match’ (or maybe transfer is a better word) to Alaska Airlines as follows:
- Virgin America Elevate Silver: Alaska Airlines MVP
- Virgin America Elevate Gold: Alaska Airlines MVP Gold
Don’t think it’s possible to get Alaska Airlines MVP Gold 75k, although I asked this on Twitter and received this reply:
