Worst card ever! Have been trying to close this stupid account ever since I stupidly put money on it as a last minute gift card, or so I thought . I was in a hurry and should have read everything associated to this piece of crap card that steals your money and takes months to try and close an account. The two Walgreens workers didn’t do me any favors after asking them if this was a regular gift card and both lying or naive workers said yes I just want my account closed, hopefully will get a hold of someone after two months of trying. I won’t be giving them another dime of my money!!!

On March 31, 2023 after I got paid I got a few money orders to pay a few bills, sent some money to my daughter, bought 2 birthday gifts that were coming up then went to Walgreens & put $250 in my Scarlet account to pay for my Medications & get enough groceries to last until my next payday.
The money never posted onto my account, I contacted customer service & was informed I’d have to fill out a dispute form that they’d email within 2 days. 3 days later no email, called again and was told they’d email it within 2 days. 2 days later no email. After calling 5 times I FINALLY got the email, immediately printed it out, filled it out & emailed it back along with my receipt with the Date, Time & Amount of my missing deposit. A few days later I got an email stating they denied my claim. This was on April 14, 2 weeks AFTER I deposited the money.
Waiting for them to resend the dispute forms to fill it out again.
Yesterday I posted $60 at Walgreens for my Scarlet account. Just got home from the grocery store after my card was denied and realizing that the $60 didn’t post to my account either! So now I have to still resolve this missing $250 and also file another dispute for this $60. Fuck Scarlet

So I just got off the phone with James at Incomm who after a lengthy appeal to logic and fair play was kind enough to refund the unexpected $7.95 monthly fee that I was charged. I was in Walgreen’s needed to send a quick $75 payment to get my phone turned back on. I saw the $1.95 initial load amount grabbed the card and loaded it with the $75 I needed to send. I got home – went through the painful setup of a Walgreen’s account that I couldn’t do on my own so the Walgreen’s agent had to do it for me. Got my Walgreen’s membership number and virtual card number which is what was actually needed to set up this scarlet card. Checked my balance – it said $75 and showed no other transactions. This was on the 6/17 – Further into my account information it advised me that I would be charged $7.95 on July 17th. which would have been a month and I found that to be acceptable. today I check the account to see if my payment had cleared and it hadn’t because $7.95 had been deducted today on 6/19 for the monthly fee. There was not ONE place on my account or on the card case that stated I would pre-pay my monthly service and NOWHERE was there any indication for two days that I would be charged the $7.95 fee. I was livid. You can’t advertise a $1.95 load fee and then make me pre-pay $7.95 in addition AFTER showing me in writing on my account info that I would be charged in 30 days. Was it illegal or a scam? No, probably not, but it was as James himself said after I explained everything “devious” and was not “fair play”. He didn’t want to refund me but I was extremely friendly and persistent and was NOT going to let them take money they did NOT explain they would be taking. I told him that I was going to Walgreen’s to get a refund and I wanted that money put back on my account since the “monthly fee” would be charged for two days of service and with not one other transaction on the account. This was dirty pool – and 90% of people that would normally use this as a banking account would just swallow the fee and move on – and that is bullshit. I opened a BOA account yesterday and that is only $4.95 a month if you don’t hit the transaction amounts that allow the fees to be waived… and Guess what – they DON’T charge the $4.95 monthly fee until AFTER being a customer for 30 days. Ugh I am still angry – it’s obviously not because of the actual money – it was refunded – it was the complete and utter BS this company is going to be successful in taking unearned money from the people that trusted them.

Opened my account and had two different direct deposits going into this card. One was my money from Poshmark as I sell clothes on the side and the other was money that I make from Instacart. Neither one of these are businesses that I own but I work for them. About a week after having the card I received an email that my account was locked due to breaking section 2 of the deposit agreement. When I went back and read the agreement it stated that they would close your account if it was used for business purposes. I didn’t know that getting deposited money from places that I WORK AT is considered a business. This card is a total scam they took almost 9 dollars from me for my monthly fee and now I have to wait for who knows how long to get my money back. Avoid this at all costs

Hate this card, I always have money on my card and it randomly locks me out for no reason, last for about a week, then it’s fine for a week, then randomly starts all over again!!! Worthless!!!

Do not use this card they are stealing people’s money. My card was locked with $6,000 and I’m having trouble getting my money back but I have taken steps to make sure they pay the consequences

They sent me two unrequested cards with account numbers and everything. No one to talk to to refuse these. Every contact ends up in a dead end hangup. Feels like a scam card. Even the fake MasterCard symbol looks cheesey. Next time I’m near a Walgreens I’ll go in and return their cards.
