Finally, a use for a WF card beyond min spends and low balance cancelation!

You didn’t have the 40-50% CB previous promos?

FreeIsGood
FreeIsGood

Thought the same thing through last summer, then to 40-60% back offers came. Probably netted over $1k in flights since then. Seems to be drying up as of late though.

Buy 5k VGC?

Mimi

How I wish they still sold those $500 VGCs . This will useful to those who have reached their annual cap on their INK accounts.

Will – My WF account is reading as 5 bonus points at Office Max/Depot, so shouldn’t this be really 6% since the base is 1 point per dollar spent?

EK
EK

It does seem to work that way. I have Cash Wise with 1.5% back and have always gotten this as extra back.

Ashton

Is this available on biz cards ? If so, where do I see the offer ?. Have new WF accounts after 8 years so still figuring it out.

Other replies say it’s personal cards only.

If this had been last week….

It’s like the Chase INK Cash permanent offer, but bypassing the call to recon.

Wyle

Is this offer targeted or only for personal WF credit cards? Not seeing an email or anything on my online account.

Mimi
Mimi

IME, I don’t get emails to alert me of GoFarReward offers, when I check my WF accounts, I check new GFR offers, if there’s any I’m interested in.

When you go to your GFR account, you’ll see all the offers listed there, some require activation before you buy in-store; with this OD/OM promo, there is no activation required, just go to the store for purchases.

Wyle
Wyle

Not seeing any way to get there. I’m guessing Business Platinum card is excluded from GFR.

Mimi
Mimi

I was told that only personal WF CCs qualified for the GFR offers.

Per WF card? Biz cards included?

Must ACTIVATE GoFar Rewards before using.

Lucy
Lucy

mine does NOT have the ACTIVATE button, terms says its automatically for me, i will do a test charge 1st before go 5k total, lol

EK
EK

Normally you are correct, but for whatever reason this one ONLY is automatic without the need to activate. I just verified.

James B.

Same here. I went to activate and it was already activated.

You may be the luckiest guy here if you get to activate

David7914
David7914

My wf propel and my SO cashwise both has the automatic offer(without activation), so I have total 10k VGC to buy before 5/22, I have a feel that we will have one week no fee or 10 off 300 sale before then. Or hope so. Like someone said, finally able to use wells Fargo cards.

I’m just ready to cancel this stupid world propel card. I think their annual airline credit is a joke. I paid $124 tax on a united airline ticket (used mileage) and i never received the $100 credit. They told me the credit doesnt apply to ticket. It is only for incidental expense such as meals on the plane. Since someone on doc’s site mentioned delta gift card or gift card from united app worked so i bought $50 delta gift card from delta.com and $50 macy gift card from united app. Again, no credits from wellsfargo. I feel like a such fool to keep this card!

Christian

The card has no annual fee. No reason to cancel it – leave it open to improve your AAOA and % utilization.

There are 2 cards with similar names – Propel (no AF) and Propel World ($175 AF). The World version comes with a $100/cardmember year incidental airline credit. In late February, I bought two $50 Walmart gift cards through the MPX app and received two $50 credits on my World card, so it was working as of 2 months ago.

Lily
Lily

Yes, i have the world card, and i didn’t even known about the no af version. Learning something every day. Thank you!

Lily

Maybe they changed rules or I’m just unlucky. Anyways, i just realized something interesting in sites like this or SD or the former FW, there seem to always have two types of people in the forums: either very nice and helpful or snarky and bullying. Not many in between.

James B.

+1. Go to flyertalk and you will see plenty of the latter, LOL.

FreeIsGood
FreeIsGood

Probably shouldn’t keep it – even if you get the $100 in credits, that doesn’t offset the AF. The free Propel earns 3x on travel and restaurants, and is a decent card to keep in the wallet. 3x -> 4.5% back towards flights if you have a WF signature visa and book through WF.

Joe
Joe

LOL. Blaming Doc because someone said the credit works on gift cards!! Listen to yourself… the credit ONLY is supposed to be for incidentals. Don’t throw a fit when your NON-INCIDENTAL purchase doesn’t get reimbursed…

Lily
Lily

Who was blaming Doc?? “I feel like a fool..” which part you didn’t understand?

Alex
Alex

It does not credit charges over $100. Otherwise it works perfectly fine.

Alex
Alex

Not a bad offer and the first one I have with WF that’s reasonable. Somehow they bypassed me in the past. I probably won’t take advantage of this one though since I still have plenty of cap between my Ink Plus and Ink Cash.

For persons needing spoon fed like myself: Click on the “Go Far Rewards” Shopping mall to verify that this offer is listed on your account. As others have said, no activation was required.

Brock
Brock

Is this good for multiple purchases or just one? I can’t tell from the offer language.

EK
EK

Tough to say, it always said first purchase with past offers but that language isn’t shown under the details on this one.

James Bond

Because it does not specify first purchase, my guess it is on multiple purchases up to a max of $250 cashback.

I now have the following on my card as well now.

Staples (5/31/2019)
Earn 1 Bonus Pts/$1 In-Store at Staples on in-store purchases of $25 or more (1000 Bonus Points max reward), 1-time use only
Starbucks (6/2/2019)
Earn 10 Bonus Pts/$1 on your first purchase of $5 or more (up to a $25 purchase)

I added it to my account when it appeared but it’s not there anymore. Does that mean I can’t use it?

EK

Correct, it would still be visible there as an added offer.
