Our Verdict

Looks like lots of people are targeted now either by using the direct link, above, or by using the app method outlined above. Don’t forget to stack this with other savings, including using a credit card that earns at a high rate on Amazon purchases and using the JetBlue portal for 3x points.

I think third-party physical gift cards would work to use up the $10 credit, maybe even third party electronic gift cards. Let us know if you try.

Finally got this to work again did it last year then I was ineligible until just now I guess. I did click the link from within the amazon app and you do have to use the Discover card to make the purchase and the items have to come directly from Amazon so it limits what you can get the discount on but a free $10 can’t complain.

Looks like another rollout today. Couple of my family’s accounts got it today and not the last time

Tried to buy a Whole Foods gift card, but the $10 promo credit wasn’t applied.

Do I see this $10 credit in my Discover statement, or in the summary on Amazon? I’m trying to see it in the summary right now, but it doesn’t seem like any items are eligible.

This has come and gone so many times and still not eligible with four family accounts. And four cards.

Try again today. I’ve been ineligible too and out of nowhere I saw the offer on the amazon main page today.

Just got a mailer today saying that starting February 18th the categories will change to the following:

Gas Stations
Grocery Stores (Wal-marts codes as GC will now count in this category)
Travel & Entertainment
Restaurants
Auto Parts & Service Stores
Utilities & Office Supply Stores
Electronics, Computers & Camera Stores
Home Improvement Stores
Discount & Warehouse Stores
Department, Apparel & Sporting Goods Stores

From what I understand, those who are using the Pharmacy and Walmart categories will be moving to the Grocery Store category and are not able to select another category to take affect this quarter (only can pick what will be effective starting April 1st).

I got this offer along with the Citi and Chase offers in the Fall, the ads kept showing up everywhere. Now the only thing I ever get is a ton of Amazon Fresh ads, even though it’s not even available in my area. Oh well.

Love this promo. It seems to roll around every quarter. Chase to Discover to Chase to Discover… It pays to have a CC from each of the major banks.

The direct link said I was not targeted, but I saw the banner ad in my Amazon app. Double check even if the link says not eligible.

I opened the app in iOS and there was a banner ad just waiting for me, easy as that. I did already have Discover as one of my saved payment methods.

No luck for me on Android. I have a Discover It saved, and used it quite heavily last quarter since it was a 5% category, then switched back to my Amazon card. Oh well.

Strange… I applied the offer a few weeks ago and I thought the offer expired at the end of November, but I went to purchase something today and the promo wasn’t applying anymore at checkout, even when I selected my Discover card as the method of payment. Anybody else having issues with this?

I had the same exact issue. Amazon said the promo credit expired on November 15th when I contacted customer service, but they still gave me a $10 credit.

I didn’t have the foresight to take a screenshot of the page with the expiration date that you could only see once immediately after you sign up for 1 click ordering, so I can’t be really sure if it was really 11/15 or the 11/30 that’s here and on the other sites. Nice of them to still give me a $10 credit though.

Same here… I know damn well it said Nov. 30th. I made note of it on my to-do list.

Going to contact Amazon.

Yes, I was told by the Amazon rep that it expired Nov 15. I argued and eventually got the $10. It took quite a while and a few representatives though.
