It is very, very hard to find products that would qualify for this discount. I found a pair of shoes sold by amazon over $50 and it qualified. I found another one that also sold by amazon still over $50 but cheaper than the other and the discount won’t apply. And it has to be a single item. I added a bunch of items sold by amazon and they didn’t count when I clicked on the amazon assistant to order.

Just buy a non-Amazon gift card such as Safeway or Whole Foods.

Privacy disaster. It wants to read all your bookmarks even. Perhaps worth installing for one purchase and then removing it immediately..

I keep getting a message that the browser I’m using is incompatible with this promo. Anybody else have this happen? John 3:16

On a related issue, people may want to simply check on their Assistant from time to time as I recently found a couple of offers targeted to me. After I realized I’d forgotten about another Assistant promotion posted by DoC (something about logging in for 5 days straight to get $5, I of course stupidly forgetting after the third day and missing out), I clicked on the extension and saw “$3 off Cell Phones and Accessories” and “‘Get $7 after you spend $70.” (“For a limited time, select Amazon Assistant customers like you can receive ….”)

I added the offer, installed Amazon Assistant, and added an item through Amazon Assistant to my cart, but at checkout the credit doesn’t appear. Am I missing a step?

There should be a banner in the Amazon Assistant window telling you to activate the promotion, click the button.

If you’re concerned about privacy, you can restrict the extension to access site data only on websites you specify (e.g. just on Amazon), rather than every website. You can see instructions to do that here: https://support.google.com/chrome_webstore/answer/2664769

With the way, Amazon has determined me to be ineligible in their offers so far,
I suspect I would be ineligible even for their Prime Day! LoL
