The Offer

Direct link to offer (affiliate link)

  • Make your U.S. Bank card your default payment method on Amazon and get a $10 Amazon promotional credit.

The Fine Print

Complete the following actions to claim the offer:

  1. Click on the ad promoting this offer.
  2. On the 1-Click landing page, sign in to your Amazon.com account. If you do not have an Amazon.com account, you can create one for free at www.amazon.com.
  3. Change your 1-Click default payment method to an eligible U.S. Bank Card.
  4. When prompted, ensure your U.S. Bank Card’s billing address is accurate by either confirming your billing address or adding a new billing address.
  5. The promotional credit will be applied to your Amazon.com account.
  6. To redeem the promotional credit, make subsequent eligible purchase(s) with your eligible U.S. Bank Card.
  • This is a limited time offer.
  • Offer good while supplies last.
  • Offer limited to one per customer and account.
  • The maximum benefit you may receive from this offer is $10.00.
  • Amazon Business customers are not eligible for this offer.

Offer only valid for invited Amazon customers who have received this offer directly from Amazon through email or online display advertisements, and to purchases made with an eligible U.S. Bank Card.

  • Promotional credit expires at 11:59 p.m. (PT) 3/01/2021.
  • Promotional credit only applies to physical products sold by Amazon.com or Amazon Digital Services LLC (look for “sold by Amazon.com” or “sold by Amazon Digital Services LLC” on the product detail page). Products sold by third-party sellers or other Amazon entities will not qualify for this offer, even if “fulfilled by Amazon.com” or “Prime Eligible”. Promotional credit does not apply to digital content.
  • Amazon reserves the right to modify or cancel the offer at any time.
  • Offer is non-transferable and may not be resold.
  • Promotional credit will be allocated proportionally among all promotional items in your order.
  • In order to redeem the promotional credit using an Alexa, Fire, or Kindle device, the eligible customer’s Amazon.com account must be registered to that device.
  • Shipping charges and taxes may apply to the full value of discounted items.
  • If any of the products or content related to this offer are returned, your refund will equal the amount you paid for the product or content, subject to Amazon’s refund policies, as applicable.
  • If you violate any of these terms, the offer will be invalid.
  • Unless an Amazon Gift Card is the stated benefit of the promotion, promotional codes (including those placed directly in accounts) may not be redeemed for Amazon Gift Cards.
  • If, for any reason, your U.S. Bank Card is inactive, denied, or ineligible, you will not be eligible to claim or redeem this promotional credit.

Our Verdict

Similar offers for Discover and American Express. Easy money if you were targeted; you can always switch back your default payment method afterward. I get “you were not eligible for this promotion,” hopefully others have more luck. We’ll add this to our Complete Guide To Saving Money On Amazon (Save 8% – 27%+).

I tried to redeem this $10 credit for a physical gift card but it appears they’re ineligible because physical gift cards are sold by ACI Gift Cards LLC. I tried several Amazon.com physical gift cards and Starbucks physical gift cards and none of them were eligible for this $10 credit when I went to checkout. I assume it’s because they are all sold by ACI Gift Cards LCC rather than “sold by Amazon.com” or “sold by Amazon Digital Services LLC”. I guess I’ll have to redeem this $10 credit for something other than a gift card…

Has anyone tried using a US Bank Debit card? Assuming that it doesn’t work, but thought I would ask 🙂

Setting card as default payment wasn’t enough to generate credit. Enabled 1-click for order and then credit was created.

Worked for me last month, just bought something with one-click and it was $10 off in checkout.

I got the email for my Cash+ card. I added the card and setup the amazon default payment. After that I tried to buy few random products sold by amazon.com & nothing triggered the $10 credit. Will try again later.

I have been trying for a couple of days. Nothing triggered the $10 credit.
Ended up removing the card.
Although, Amazon probably now has a record of it.
Harvesting my info.

you should add the card to amazon then use the link in the email and set it to default. I made the same mistake as your and took me a while to figure it out.

I was able to use the $10 credit later on below item:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RK4HST7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Maybe try some of the personal health items.

Not sure what you mean by “paying by GC balance”

If you don’t want to get any spend on the card itself(if it’s a card from your company for example), you can buy a gift card for the remaining balance after the $10 and use the promo for the rest and it will work,

Swastik Agrawal Sean Paul does the $10 off work on third party gift cards?
Usually one can pay by amzn gc balance as you mentioned for those but I am not able to do that here. I dont know if I am doing something wrong

Received an email for this from the US bank today. Flexperks Visa Sig card.

Subject line:
Earn $10 at Amazon with your U.S. Bank card

Offer expires: 01/29/2021

Promotional credit expires: 03/01/2021

The link in the email appears to be targeted and single-use (applied the offer, then open the same link in another browser, it says “Thanks, the credit has been already applied”).

Received the email, added my Cash+ card, and promotion was applied. The promotion is only good for items that are shipped and sold by Amazon.
