[YMMV] Chase Sapphire Preferred Pre-Qualified 60,000 Points Offer with Annual Fee Waived

The Offer

Check your Chase Pre-qualified offers here

Chase is showing for some an increased signup bonus pre-qualified offer on the Chase Sapphire Preferred:

  • Get 60,000 points after $4,000 in spend within the first three months. Annual fee is waived the first year.

Our Verdict

In the past, there have been 30,000 Freedom prequalified offers too, so keep an eye out for that as well.

As far as I know these do not bypass the 5/24 rule, unfortunately. These offers are sometimes available in branch as well, but typically only for Chase Private Client customers. Public sign up bonuses on the CSP is currently 50,000 points, also with the $95 annual fee waived.

Not sure if this works with referral code from existing Sapphire cardholder but: I am considering applying for above offer and willing to try & use someone’s referral code, if mods allow such sharing. Maybe let them weigh in first.

P.S. I don’t think the 60K bonus is targeted/YMMV anymore.

Hell I’m just going to send a SM and ask if I’m eligible for this signup bonus…

Wish it was for CSR

I got this offer, maybe because I have Chase Biz accounts (which I’m in the process of draining and closing). But I’m at 6/24, have the old plain Sapphire card, and had the Preferred just last year. Why do they tantalize me so?

Wife and I never have any chase offers. Is it because we have our business and personal linked?

This 60K offer showed up for me about 10 days ago, but I’m only 36 months since my last CSP bonus. Under 5/24, but the 48 month language makes the offer worthless.

I opened a csp on 11/19. Via SM I asked if I could be matched to the 60,000. Part of their response was:

We’d like to match the new offer you received (60,000
points), but you’ll need to email us a copy of the
targeted email or a screen shot of the banner ad with your
name on the offer.

I applied 11/8 after pulling a 60k offer on Card Match. When re-directed to Chase it showed the 50k offer and I was denied a match via SM despite having a screenshot of the higher offer.

Chase cheated me out of the 0% interest on purchases for 12mon promo on my CSP. Had a screenshot. Might as well of said, “I like Swiss cheese.” No one cared. I requested the interest fee be waived…and then just pay it off in-full. They refused. Don’t know what’s going on. I’ve always had good experiences with Chase in the past. Seems like they are going out of their way to drive certain customers away.

Not showing up for me online. I then went to a branch and it showed the normal 50k offer as pre-approved for me. If I apply in branch with that pre-approved, would it by pass 5/24?

Data points seem to indicate that you need to check whether or not there is a FIXED apr with your preapproval. If your apr is fixed, then data points suggest this bypasses 5/24. A range of apr’s indicate this is not a true preapproval and therefore won’t bypass 5/24. Can never be 100% though, unless you try it yourself.

This is what I’m seeing under my offer–
“21.99%. This APR will vary with the market based on the Prime Rate.”
What does it indicate?

Damn. I just did a pre qualified CSP 12 days ago. Any chance they’ll match this offer? I imagine not since it’s not really a public offer.

I’d probably send a secure message to ask. Can’t hurt to try.

I just sent a SM too since we applied a few weeks ago. Hopefully they match! I threw in a “Happy Holidays” to give them that extra generous Spirit, haha.
