Do they send any tax documents for this bonus? Did the 300 version but don’t see any tax documents online.

Check your accounts! I originally was told I was ineligible for bonus because I wasnt targeted etc, forgot all about it after 3 attempts. Checked two days ago and saw that a 600 bonus was sitting in there from 7/2023!

On 4/12/23, I applied for a personal loan online at sofi.com/bonus600 in response to a promotional offer to “Claim your exclusive $600 bonus on a SoFi Personal Loan.”

I met all offer terms but have not received the bonus.

Now, I respectfully demand that SoFi Bank pay the advertised $600 bonus.

Otherwise, this matter will proceed to trial with all costs and fees taxed to SoFi Bank.

Finally got a check in the mail. Unbelievable. Took 3 cfpb and an hour phone call in which they admitted I had submitted all the right info. And no, they would not compensate me for my time fixing their mistake.

I received targeted $600 email from SoFi. I made sure to click the link in the email when I applied for the loan. I applied for the loan on Aug 6th. There was no fees associated with the loan. Loan was funded on Aug 14th. I received the bonus on Aug 15th. I paid off the loan on Aug 15. There was an interest charge of $1.23. I saw no impact to my credit score Easiest $600 I ever made.

After filing an OCC complaint, I received a physical letter in the mail from SoFi Escalations department, dated June 9th, delivered via Priority Mail (tracking number, proof of delivery, etc.).

“After a thorough review of your profile, we can confirm you submitted a $5,000 Personal Loan application on 04/12/2023. This was approved by SoFi on 04/19/2023 and disbursed to your SoFi Checking Account ending in ×XXXX on 04/24/2023.

Our records indicate you contacted SoFi via chat on 05/26/2023 in regard to the $600.00 SoFi Personal Loan bonus. The agent you spoke with accurately advised that you were not eligible for the bonus as SoFi was unable to verify that you received the promotional email. The Terms and Conditions of this offer state the following:

Please be advised that this promotion was intended for a targeted audience, and the recipient would have had to receive the promotional email to be eligible for this offer. As of 04/28/2023, we have added a banner to this promotional link to confirm that you must have received this offer in a mailer or via email to be eligible.

As you applied for the SoFi Personal Loan prior to the banner being added on 04/28/2023, as a one-time courtesy, SoFi has made the business decision to honor the bonus. Looks like anyone who applied before 4/28 and files a complaint should be good to go.

Got the physical mail offer back in December, signed up in January 2023, loan approved 1/30, waited 3-4 months without reply, reached out to online chat rep on 6/2. Clarified situation about receiving a targeted, physical mail offer. Rep said he opened a ticket and to expect a response within 24-48 business hours (3-6 bus days?). No response but $600 bonus posted on 6/5.

Seems like SoFi service is aware of bonus snafus, would highly suggest reaching out to customer service while this is on their radar

Interestingly, I had reached out to Sofi numerous time regarding the personal loan bonus. Each time I felt like I was going nowhere with this. Initially I was told to wait the whole 5 weeks and then contact them if I didn’t get the bonus but each of these time they made it clear I would get the bonus. I took screenshots of all these chats.

After the 5 weeks, during my last chat however, I asked them and the rep created a ticket for me. They intially told me I need to be targeted etc but I told them all about how I have been reaching out for a long time and I have screenshots of all the times I was told I will get the bonus. The rep then asked me to send the screenshots and all other info about the offer. I sent everything and they created a ticket. I was told I would get a response in a week but nothing.
I reached out again after I got an email saying some ticket was closed. Upon reaching to support via chat, I realized this was going nowhere as they were unable to see the ticket.

After procrastinating for about a week, I was finally starting to fill out an occ complaint but then I noticed I got the bonus just yesterday. Long story short I guess pretending to file an occ complaint also makes sofi pay the bonus lol

Funded on 04/26. Got bonus finally on 06/07.

Just wanted to provide an update. I applied for this loan/promo on April 27. Before applying i opened a sofi support chat and shared the link and specifically asked if the link was valid and therefore I would be credited. The agent said yes. I took screenshots. About a week later I inquired with support about the bonus and got a runaround. I waited it out. The terms said within 30 days. Fast forward to June 7. I opened another ticket. The runaround started again. I politely demanded to be paid and threatened to file both CFBC and OCC complaints. The bonus was paid out today. Be firm but respectful and threaten to file complaints if you still haven’t been paid out. Good luck.
