The Fine Print
- Member must not have had prior checking account with TruStone.

Avoiding Fees
Monthly Fees
This account has no monthly fees to worry about.
Early Account Termination Fee
A $20 fee is charged if the account is closed within 6 months of opening according to their fee schedule.
Our Verdict
This is a significantly better offer than before as previously it was only for $150 (although without a direct deposit requirement). Worth doing if you can easily change your payroll to trigger the direct deposit requirement and earn enough to get the full $350 bonus. Will add this to our list of the best checking account bonuses.

applied OOS as it allowed joining by donating to the Foundation. Rec’d rejection letter in the mail due to Chex. This credit union must be extremely sensitive to Chex as I’ve only opened six accts in the last 12 months. Def not worth the effort.
Any OOS DP?
obligatory .
Got denied last December for Chex. Wishful thinking they change like BluPeak
Applied last week, denied due to Chex. Unfortunately doesn’t look like they’re changing
Extended through 12/31.

Has anyone tried to churn this? I know what the terms say. Just curious if they actually enforce them.
Applied 7/27/23.
Received denial due to chex via snailmail on 8/3/23
Data points for accounts that code as DD, please?
Applied in market 7/23. No communication from bank until I called. Informed I was denied and should have received an e-mail regarding the same and will receive a letter in the mail. 99% sure this is Chex sensitivity.
Friendly phone staff, clumsy implementation/communication via automated systems.
Chex numbers?
Denied due to chex, letter finally came today. Numbers are 20+ inquiries this year. No debts owed, just inquiries related to account openings.
