[Expired] [YMMV] Starbucks: Load $15 To Your Account & Get 25-50 Bonus Stars

This deal has expired, view more Starbucks deals by clicking here.

Update: Looks like it’s definitely targeted as some are being offered 50 stars instead of 25.

The Offer

No direct link, sent out via e-mail (subject line ‘Don’t skip this step if you want to reach Rewards’)

  • Starbucks is offering 25 bonus stars when you load $15 or more to your account

The Fine Print

  • Valid from November 7th until November 11th

Our Verdict

Not sure if you need to have received the e-mail or not. Keep in mind if you load using Chase Pay currently you can get up to 475 bonus stars. That deal is significantly better than this one, I don’t think they will be stackable but they might be. A free item at Starbucks costs 125 stars (assuming you already have gold status, otherwise you need to earn 300 stars for gold status first) so this is only 1/5th of the way to a free item.

DP: I was targeted for 50 bonus stars. Loaded $20 using Chase Pay and received 175 stars within a few minutes. So it DOES stack with the Chase offer.

Same thing for me, loaded $20 with Chase Pay on November 8 and received both the 50 stars from the Starbucks $15+ reload offer and the final 200 stars from the Chase Pay $20+ offer.

I feel using Cash Debit card with coffee shop boost is better than bonus starbucks stars

Agreed although the Chase promo + this is on par with the Cash Debit.

With the Chase promo, you are effectively getting 5 items for the price of 4 assuming $5 per on all — so 20% discount ($20 paid / $25 value) or 6 items for the price of 5 assuming $4 per on all — so 17% discount ($20 paid / $24 value).

A $5 item with the cash debit will be discounted 20% ($4 paid / $5 value) and a $4 item will be discounted 25% ($3 paid / $4 value).

One benefit of doing the reloads though is you can then earn more stars from your actual purchases as well as doing “bonus star” things (purchase 2 drinks in 3 days, etc. etc.). So if you get drinks over $5, the loads are likely better. If you get drinks below $5 the cash app. is likely better.

Hmmm…this explains why when I loaded $20 with Chase Pay yesterday they gave me 150 points rather than the 125 I was expecting.
Based on my single data point it seems stackable.

The email is exactly like this website. Can upload pics if link not working. It opens in incognito for me.

Terms specifically says: “These Bonus Stars cannot be combined with other offers or discounts, such as Star Dashes,” no double dip chase pay promo RIP

I reloaded 20 dollars with chase pay. Lets see how many stars I get. BTW the 25 stars by loading $15 offer also shows up in the app. “Reload for tomorrow’s latte”
