The Fine Print

  • Expires 11/27/2016 or when promotional redemption limit has been reached
  • Valid online at staples.com®, our mobile site and Staples iPhone app when you pay with Visa Checkout only
  • Limit one discount per customer, nontransferable
  • Discount is automatically applied to qualifying order when you select Visa Checkout and order is placed
  • Minimum purchase requirement of $100; tax and shipping not included in calculating the minimum purchase
  • Not valid on SKUs 513096 or 1149611, ROKU®, Google products, any Bose®, Canon® ink and toner, Epson® EcoTankâ„¢ printers, Epson® ink and toner, HP ink and toner, JBL®, Staples Industrial(sm) purchases, Wacom®, custom printing orders placed online, services, promotional products, gift cards, prior purchases or any purchases on other provider Websites

Our Verdict

Pretty awesome deal if you have something to buy for around $125. After Visa Checkout discount, the total will be $100, and after $20 Amex discount it will be just $80. (Amex Offers have been working when paying Visa Checkout.)

Remember, for the Amex Offer you can count tax as well; so long as the final total charged to the registered card is $100 you’ll get $20 back.

I did the 3 Kaspersky deal using Visa checkout with an Amex card. I did not get the $25 off but did get an immediate email from Amex for the $20 credit. I called customer service, and they said that the daily limit had already been met for the $25 Visa checkout offer. She suggested I try again tomorrow. I cancelled my order, which I had placed around 6:30 PM ET.

I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. My first order I used an excluded item to get to $100. The discount was mentioned but not applied. Ok, after realizing my mistake I thought I understood. Next order bought three of the Kaspersky and again saw the discount mentioned in a blue highlighted line but it wasn’t applied. Any ideas?

I always wait to stock up on toner cartridges. They retail for just over $100 so I was able to get in on this for my wife and myself. You can’t be logged into the same Staples account though even if using a different Visa Checkout account. I missed out on the AMEX offer though (I did try but it’s long gone on Twitter).

I’ve never used a rebate through online order
How do I get the rebate tracking number and submit?
Does paperwork arrive with the shipment?

It doesn’t arrive with paperwork. You go online to their website, and enter numbers from your invoice. They match up in their system, you don’t even need postage to mail it off.

Although you get three FAR Kaspersky you only get one rebate per household

Can you explain? Fine print says, “Limit 3 rebates per name/address/household.”

Are you sure about that? Under the “Additional Information” on the rebate form it says :

Purchase Kaspersky Internet Security 1 User (SKUs 1809296, 1910465) at Staples stores, Staples.com or Staples catalog between 11/24/16 and 12/03/16, then submit online or mail it in to receive a Visa Prepaid card. Limit 3 rebates per name/address/household.

It appears to allow 3 rebates per household.

nevermind. you guys are right. if thats what says in rebate terms, then its okay. usually kaspersky rebates are limited by offer number – 1 rebate per offer number.

I bought 2 of Kaspersky mentioned above plus some other random little stuff I needed anyway to bring my total including tax to just over $100 after Visa Checkout discount, and I indeed received the Amex congrats email moments after placing the order. Hope the rebates work out!

Bought 3 of the Kaperski’s as recommended above, got the visa check out discount, got the congratulations email from Amex, now I just have to wait to see how many rebates I can actually get.

did NOT get AMEX email using amex card with visa checkout. Any reason I should be worried?

How can you use an AMEX card with the VISA checkout option?

Just add your amex card to visa checkout profile and choose it when you use checkout. Should be very easy. Hope it helps.
