4 Properties To Leave SPG Program In Dubai

Recently it was announced that the St. Regis Dubai Polo Club would be leaving the Starwood Preferred Guest program on July 1st, that property has now re-branded to Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club. The Al Habtoor group that owns that property also owns the St. Regis Dubai, W Dubai & The Westin Dubai. Those properties will also leave the SPG program on July 31st according to Gulf Business. As you know SPG is folding into Marriott on August 1st. After July 31st Al Habtoor group will manage the properties directly so I imagine they are leaving SPG due to the fees and upkeep involved and that’s why you’re not seeing another chain pick up the business.

Don’t go to Dubai. It’s a slave city. I don’t like slavery.
