The Fine Print

  • Valid 9/16/15 at 8 am PT until midnight on 9/17/15; since it goes with PT, we still have a few moments until this goes live (orensmoneysaver)
  • Must get the targeted email and activate the offer in order to be eligible

Our Verdict

I am super excited about this offer. The 10% offers are really scarce – maybe once every 2 months on average.

It’s really great for the Exxon deal which we posted a few short hours ago. Those Exxon cards are going fast and there are only around 2,000 remaining. I held off in hopes of a Bucks offer this morning since the 17th of the month is a common day to get those. Still another hour to go until the Bucks offer starts (it starts 8 am PT) and it’s looking good for the Exxon deal to stick around until then. The deal was a $27.40 moneymaker; now it’s a $49 moneymaker or more when paying with discounted eBay gift cards.

Now is really time to stock up on any other gift card you want as well (with the exception of eBay gift cards) since you can get any gift card sold on eBay at 15% off:

That is an awesome deal! I’ll be stocking up on some other gift cards besides for the Exxon. And I’ll pay for them with eBay gift cards purchased at a discount for added savings.

Remember that you can only earn a total of $500 in eBay Bucks per quarter. The current quarter is coming to an end and it’s time to max out on those Bucks now!

Reminder that 5x ebay bucks do not apply to bids offered before 9/18 but expire after 5x promo period expiration.

I got all excited when I first saw this. Thinking I could end up buying a few things from APMEX for less than the spot rate and meet a bunch of minimum spends… but… of course the fine print says:

‘Qualifying purchase excludes all items in the following categories:…Bullion…’

Is that reliable to use the cash back on Inbox Dollars portal, may I get cash back? are there some confirmation emails?

eBay newbie here, but targeted for this 5x. Troubled by ambiguity:

1) “any eBay Purchase of a single qualifying item of $50 or more…”. Assuming “any” means no limit to number of transactions eligible for 5x thru the promo period. (Ignoring “single”)

2) “single” item: does this mean only the first item in a >$50 total ticket will be eligible for 5x?

I’ll test this both ways and report back

So I waited for my Target eBay GC to arrive and as soon as they did, this gig was gone. Now I wanted to get the regular priced ExxonMobil GC which would still yield a nice profit but there’s a $3.95 shipping fee for EACH card! Is that new? I can’t remember to have ever paid shipping on SVM orders, let alone for each card separately…

Hmmm, I have noticed that most of the cards they sell at face value will include a shipping fee which varies based on the gift card. I have also never paid a shipping fee, but that’s only because I’ve only bought discounted gift cards from them. I follow them on eBay and out of the 113 listing they have, only 23 come with free shipping. Maybe that’s been your case as well (only bought discounted gift cards from them or bought one of the few at face value that come with free shipping)

You may be right. I’ve never bought GC for regular price from the usual suspects (GCM, PP, SVM) only when they were at least 10% discounted. Anyway, I never knew that they charge shipping for regular priced cards and especially not that they think I’d pay them $19.75 when they tuck 5 cards into the same envelope…

CHUCK,

Are there any other GCs besides Exxon you would suggest stocking up and are currently on a good discount?

I know the Exxon Deal is SOLD OUT. But say you buy a standard $100 gift card. You get $10 in ebay bux x 5? $50 Ebay buxx? Can you just use ebay Bucks like cash on ebay no restrictions?

I knew these would go quick, but dang! Glad I set an alarm for myself. I bought them right at 11:00 and over 92% were already gone at that point.

Sold Out 🙁 another missed opportunity for the 5x Ebucks.

Please note, it’s not 10% off, but instead you are given Ebucks to use on future purchases.
