Avoiding Fees
All of their checking products qualify for this promotion. We’d recommend opening the basic account as there is no monthly fee and no minimum monthly balance requirement. There is an account closure fee of $5 if the account is closed within 90 days of opening, but you’ll need to keep the account open for longer than that anyway to get the bonus.
Our Verdict
They have offered a cash bonus of $100 and $150 in the past, so this isn’t their best offer. Those were both from back in 2014, so I’m not sure we’ll see anything higher than that in the near future. Personally think this one is too much trouble for $100 in gift cards, as it requires a direct deposit and debit card transactions. We have some tips for meeting debit card transactions in this linked post.
