Fine Print

Excludes outlets, Nespresso boutiques, restaurants located within Bloomingdale’s stores, Bloomingdale’s premium travel services, DryBar, Bloomingdales Skin Spa, salons located within Bloomingdale’s stores, corporate gift purchases and third party service providers. Valid only at locations in the US and US territories. Not valid on purchases shipped outside the US.
Limit 1 enrolled Card per American Express online account and limit of 4,000 additional Membership Rewards points per Card. These additional points are in addition to any points you would normally receive for purchases on your Card under the terms of your Cardmember Agreement and the Membership Rewards program. When we calculate the additional points benefit for Amex EveryDay Card products, points awarded under this offer will not be included.

Saks Offer

There are a couple of variations of the Saks offer showing:

Get a bonus of 6,000 Membership Rewards points by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $400+ in-store at Saks Fifth Avenue or online at saks.com by 11/7/2016.
Get a bonus of 7,500 Membership Rewards points by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $500+ in-store at Saks Fifth Avenue or online at saks.com by 11/7/2016.

Excludes outlets stores (in-store and online), restaurants located within the store, online bill pay for Saks credit card and corporate gift cards. Valid only at locations in the US and US territories. Not valid on purchases shipped outside the US.

These additional points are in addition to any points you would normally receive for purchases on your Card under the terms of your Card Member Agreement and the Membership Rewards program. DP. Ordered a $400 physical GC and other items totaling $500 from Saks through the United portal. Received email from Amex saying the offer was used but the physical GC did not accrue United miles 🙁

Curious if this works for the 200 dollar spend 1000 UR points promo going around, also. Getting 2x through portal to get 1400 points, plus the 4,200 you get from MR for a total of 5,600 for 36 bucks or so.

It might work, but per the T&Cs it doesn’t include purchase of gift cards.

FYI – I purchased a Bloomingdale’s GC through the United shopping portal on Oct. 13th. The 4000 MR pts posted today. So GCs work. The purchase hasn’t been tracked by United yet – hopefully it still does and triggers the 1000pt bonus they were running through the 15th.

Whats your plan? resell on a gift card website? looks like the going rate for bloomingdales and saks is about 80% face value. If you vaule MR at 1.9 cpp you come out ahead by just a bit.
