The Offer
- Aeroplan is offering a bonus of up to 115% when buying miles. The bonus you receive depends on how many miles you purchase (this varies per customer, below is the best offer):
- Buy 10,000 – 45,000 miles and get a 60% bonus
- Buy 50,000 – 90,000 miles and get a 80% bonus
- Buy 100,000+ miles and get a 115% bonus
Our Verdict
Aeroplan has previously sold miles for as low as 1¢ each, that was a launch bonus though so I doubt we will see that again. This brings down the price to 1.28¢ per point. I personally think it’s crazy to purchase miles like this, but if you have a specific redemption in mind it could make sense. I definitely wouldn’t purchase these speculatively.
