The $20 on Air B&B “bounceback” credit says 1 per customer.

If I do it a 2nd time, it’s very odd. It lets me enter the code again, and in red letters says “this can’t be applied” — but right below that, it says “Congratulations, your purchase qualifies you for an Amazon.com credit. A one-time $20 promotional credit will be automatically applied…”

Any data points on getting the $20 more than once? Seems like a big risk.

It’s probably based on your specific location. Grubhub is much better and cheaper than uber eats where I live. Grubhub doesn’t do the surge pricing either.

Prologer I have successfully used promotional credits to buy third-party GCs, subject to the caveat that you can only use one credit of each type per transaction, i.e., you can use one Happy Teen credit and one Happy Bride credit together, but you cannot use two Happy Teen credits together.

Celia Interesting. I have used promotional credits to buy third-party GCs many times, but I last did so a few months ago. I wonder whether Amazon has reprogrammed the credits. Alternatively, I wonder if your issue was that the credits do not stack with other discounts.

RM There was no other discount with the gift card I was buying. It was a $100 GP card. Maybe it was just the $10 stamp promo, I am not sure. It was a digital one so maybe that’s why. I used the promo on the next order for a physical product.

Try checking out on desktop. On the last step of checkout, it shows that it’s a “qualifying offer” and that you’ll get the amazon credit. It doesn’t show that message if you’re on mobile. I only got that message when I tried to input the promo code again but it was already in the system.

I did the Uber Eats gift card twice, crossing my fingers that I’ll get the credit twice as well.

Yes, i chatted with amazon rep who did nothing/knew nothing. 15 minutes into support chat he just gave me a $10 promo credit (i was after uber gc). 20 minutes later i tried from desktop instead of phone and it worked. so maybe i got both?
