Our Verdict
I wasn’t eligible, seems like a good promotion if you are though. Seems to be targeted towards some Amazon family accounts, prime is a requirement as well. Lots of people with all of those still aren’t targeted so not sure how else Amazon is qualifying it. Probably still worth checking to see if you are eligible. If anybody is if they could send me a picture of the promotion to [email protected] that would be fantastic. As always remember there are lots of ways to save money on Amazon, we maintain a full list of those here.

Qualified on wife’s linked account. She only uses her account to buy Christmas presents so doesn’t buy gift cards 🙂
I have Prime but was not eligible.
Prime – Not eligible.. In fact I haven’t been eligible for any of the last 4 or 5 promos.
I wonder what you have to do to get eligible for some of these,
Prime Family, not eligible
Prime, not eligible
Doc have you bought gift cards on Amazon in the last 3 years? I’m assuming you have. That would disqualify you from the promotion as stated in term #2… Could be that’s why it didn’t work for you
Can you send me a copy of the terms? You can’t see them unless you’re targeted.

Hey Will, I also believe you should call out Amazon Smile when drawing attention to your affiliate link. One could support your site, get JB points, or help out a charity. Up to them.
Not a bad idea, but keep in mind that Amazon smile is only 0.5%, whereas affiliate links pay 3-7%+ depending on category. Probably better off supporting DoC and throwing a few bucks of your own cash at a charity!
We talked about it in this linked post: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/complete-guide-saving-money-amazon-save-8-25/
I don’t really want to have to mention every possible opportunity with Amazon every time we post about them (that’s why I created that above post in the past and keep it updated).
Prime, Student, no go for me.
Did not work. Amazon prime with a child on the account.
I have an Amazon Family account with another adult but no children, and it didn’t work. Worth a shot.
Thank you for this info, and everything else on the site! I’ve gotten lots of cash back deals in just the few months I’ve been coming here, especially from Amazon.
