American Airlines has a loyalty program for businesses called ‘Business Extras‘, businesses can earn these points in addition to employees earning regular American Airline miles. You can view what Business Extras points can be redeemed for here, they are more valuable than regular miles and also more difficult to earn. Previously you’ve needed to redeem your points for a flight or upgrade certificate and then call in to book that flight or upgrade.
American Airlines has revamped the Business Extras website and it’s now possible to book flights or upgrades directly. There is now a business extras award tab on the home page. One issue is that for upgrades if the itinerary has more than one person on it, it won’t let you apply an upgrade.
