American Express Blue Cash Everyday $250 Signup Bonus

The Offer

Direct Link to offer (go incognito)

American Express released a new signup bonus today on the Blue Cash Everyday card:

  • Earn $250 back after you spend $2,000 in purchases on your new Card within the first 6 months of Card Membership. You will receive the $250 back in the form of a statement credit.
  • Update: There’s another offer currently available for $200 + up to $150 in Dining credits. Details here.

The press release from today mentions a $200 signup bonus, but I’m seeing $250 incognito.

Card Details

  • No annual fee
  • 3% cash back at U.S. Supermarkets, Gas Stations, and Online Retailers (on up to $6,000 per year in purchases for each category, then 1%)
  • 1% back on other purchases
  • No redemption minimum on cash back earned
  • Receive up to $15 per month in statement credits from Home Chef meal delivery. Enrollment required.
  • Receive $7 back each month (up to $84 back annually) after spending $13.99 or more each month on an eligible subscription to The Disney Bundle which includes Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ using your Card. Enrollment required.
  • Low intro APR: 0% for 15 months on purchases and balance transfers, then a variable rate

Our Verdict

The card got a refresh today with new benefits; at the same time they increased the bonus to $250. We have seen bigger bonuses for the Blue Cash Everyday, often those weren’t showing for everyone or they had more complicated structures. This offer also gives a long 6 months to accomplish the spend requirement. We’ll add this to our List of Best Credit Card Signup Bonuses.

You might do better applying for the Blue Cash Preferred $400 signup bonus and swallowing the $95 annual fee. You’ll end up with an extra $55 bonus that way, and you can eventually downgrade the card to become a Blue Cash Everyday.

Still, the $250 signup offer can make sense if it’s what you can pull up via referral link in 2-player mode or if you want to immediately take advantage of the Disney and Home Chef credit.

“Earn Up to $250 Back” comes up for me. Just kept opening incognito and closing until it popped. Only took 4 or 5 tries.

Can confirm that the $250 offer is active. Just gotta keep opening it in private mode in different browsers till it shows. Took me about a dozen tries. Private safari on my laptop was the winner.

Did the card eliminate the minimun you need for redeeming? Was able to redeem $10.

In my past experience this card does not pay 3% for gas purchased at Kroger or Meijer.

If I already have BCP, do you think it’s worth signing up for the 3% back at online retailers? Assume this includes Amazon…likely wouldn’t use any of the other benefits, for US Supermarkets I’d max out the 6% using normal purchases and gift cards for maximum benefit

can you do this bonus if you already have a blue cash preferred card?
