The Offer
Hilton American Express cardholders got an email with the following offer:
- Get 10x bonus points on your Amazon shopping for a total of 13x per dollar.
- Max $500 in spend will get the bonus 10x (5,000 bonus points max).
- Valid from the time you complete enrollment through January 29, 2019.
Offer is being sent out on all 3 personal Hilton card versions, but I believe not on the business version.
The Fine Print
- Requires enrollment.
- Eligible purchases include digital downloads, Amazon Prime subscriptions, and items sold by third party merchants through the Amazon Marketplace.
- Eligible purchases do NOT include fees or interest charges, purchases or reloading of prepaid cards, purchases of gift cards, person-to-person payments, purchases of any cash equivalents, or purchases made at non-US versions of Amazon.com or websites affiliated with/linked to/from Amazon.com or retail locations owned by Amazon.
- Additional Hilton Honors Bonus Points will be credited to your Hilton Honors account within 2-4 weeks after the end of the offer. Purchases may fall outside of the offer period (and therefore not be eligible for additional Hilton Honors Bonus Points) in some cases, such as a delay in merchants submitting transactions to us or if the purchase date differs from the date you made the transaction. (For example, if you buy goods online, the purchase date may be the date the goods are shipped.)
- Additional Card Members on your account are not eligible to enroll in this offer, but you can earn additional Hilton Honors Bonus Points for purchases made at Amazon.com by any Additional Card Members on your account.
Our Verdict
Pretty nice deal for Amazon spend. This also times nicely with the ongoing Hilton spend offers of either 20,000 points for $2,000 in spend or 10,000 points for $1,000 in spend. Also times well with holiday shopping.

My statement just closed a few days ago and my amazon purchases didn’t earn an extra 10x points.
Yes, I purchased amazon gift card and apparently they are not qualified so I didn’t get points either.

I just received the 10,000 bonus points for the grocery offer. Guess we will see how long it takes to get the points for the Amazon promo.

Got targeted for it on my Aspire. Very surprising as I also got the spend x amount offer for bonus points. But I never get the 100k amex platinum offer on cardmatch 🙁

Nobody can have a DP because points won’t post until after the promo is over. Looks like you’ll be one of them!
I get the following message:

Not sure why. But the response I just received suggests the offer is for TARGETED Hilton AMEX cards.

dang. i need to finish the $15K/yr for my Hilton Biz. I don’t need to spend another dime on my Aspire.

Chuck, I would add targeted in the headline of this article. While I received the email and was able to register one of my Hilton Honors cards, the second a no annual fee card said the offer was only for targeted cardmembers using your link above. Then I tried to register my mother who also did not receive the email and one again received the same email. So this offer appears to be targeted.
