Our Verdict

The last few American Express offers that have been decent have been targeted so it’s good to see one everybody can get on. This is a good deal and one I’ll be taking part in. Below we’ve listed a few of the more popular options:

• Purchase something you need at Best Buy, this will net you a 10% discount. Remember that Best Buy does price matching. $25 profit + credit card rewards
• Purchase a Visa gift card: Best Buy sells $200 Visa gift cards in store. The fee is $5.95 per card (you can earn shopkick points on the fee portion of this transaction). Your best option would be to purchase two $200 gift cards which would net you $13.1 + credit card rewards. If you have this offer on multiple cards you could split the transaction between these cards (e.g purchase three gift cards and split it over two american express cards enrolled in the offer) which would increase your profit. These gift cards might be behind the counter and as such you’ll need to ask for them.
• Purchase a Best Buy gift card. You can either use this at a later date and get a discount or resell it. The best places to resell it are as follows:
  • Cardpool: 92.56% when you sell it to them through topcashback (89% cash back normally) $6.4 profit + credit card rewards
  • MonsterGiftCard: 90% credit card rewards only 
• Purchase another gift card: Best Buy has a lot of different gift cards to various stores, you could purchase one that you’d need anyway. We recommend checking giftcardgranny to see what their resell values are and whether it would be cheaper to just buy the giftcards from a reseller. Best Buy sells Amazon Kindle gift cards which have been reported to work on all Amazon.com purchases. Up to $25 profit + credit card rewards.
