Amex Offers: $15 Off $15 Amazon [Targeted]

The Offer

  • Spend $15 or more on Amazon with your registered Amex card and receive a $15 statement credit.

This offer is targeted. It’s showing up for some people on some accounts but not for others. See How Does American Express Decide Who Receives What AmEx Sync Offer?

[UPDATE: Others mention getting targeted for an offer of $15 off $30 on Amazon.]

The Fine Print

  • Expires 9/30/15

Our Verdict

This is literally free money for most people since you can purchase any item on Amazon or just buy a $15 Amazon gift card or a third-party gift card for future use. Remember to first see which cards were targeted and then save them all at the same time, as outlined here.

So AU users get the same chance at Amex offers as the primary? I.e both primary and au can avail the same offer as if they were separate cards?

You have to create a separate log-in account for your AU’s. You can put all their cards in one log-in account (for each AU) to make it easier. Then they have offers for them to select.

The fine print says exclude “cooperate gift card”. Does that mean third-party gift card?

That means an American Express corporate card from your employer.

None on my 9, nor Hubby’s 2.

Sometimes offers show up a day or two later than when you all talk about them. Still crossing fingers.

One offer of $15 off $30 on one of my three cards.

Might need to trade some of my churn teammates for some new prospects. It’s a rebuilding year for the churn team.

How on earth do some of you people have 26-30 cards?

Multiple family members? Even then it seems ridiculously high considering Amex doesn’t allow as many cards as Chase.

If you have business you can get extra cards. We have a real business. Plus if you have great credit you can get more, cards for you and cards for your spouse. Then you can have authorized users. It all depends on your credit. However, you have to be dealing with Amex for a long time and they have to be making money off of you.

Got 3 out of too many cards. Only one AU got them, the one who hardly uses his cards… go figure.

I haven’t received any Amazon offers in a year on the other cards.
