Our Verdict
This is clearly a highly targeted offer, mainly posting as it’s interesting to see Amex putting these kinds of spend offers out via the Amex Offers platform versus sending it out in an email. Worth keeping an eye out there. Hopefully when they do give such an offer, they put it both in the app and in the computer login since I rarely use the app.
Many readers in the comments got similar offers, each with their own spend and bonus amount. I think this targeted offer is only showing on some Platinum cards.

It just showed up for me on 8/21 on Everyday Card that I rarely use.

Can you explain how this is “clearly a highly targeted offer”? Most of the comments are about people getting some variation of this offer.
That being said, of course I was not targeted for it.

I’m confuse with the wordings on the Details section of the offer.
Details says: “Get 3,500 Membership Rewards points by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $2,500+ in one or more eligible transactions by 11/20/2018. See terms for exclusion.”
Does that mean you have to spend $2500 in transaction to get the 1st 3500 MR points? or is that means you can spend in smaller amounts as long as it totals to $2500 in a billing cycle?
Info in the Terms section isn’t much help either:

You can do smaller transactions. It’s cumulative.
I got the same kind of offer BUT it says: “Spend $1,000+, get 1,000 Membership Rewards® points, up to 3 times.” for my AMEX Platinum.
I only got 500 points for $1000 spend
Bupkiss.
Got 2000 MR with 1500 spend 3x on PRG. Showed up and was enrollable on the website as well as the app.
I received 1,500 MR for $3,000 spend :/ (3x)
I received what is likely the lowest tier of this promo, 500 MR for $1000 spend (3x) on ED.
