The Fine Print
- Offer valid only on US bill payments for cable and satellite television services made directly with the provider.
- Payments must be made directly with the provider online, via mobile app or by phone.
- Payments made at service centers do not qualify. Payments for hardware, installation, and other services are excluded, if not bundled and charged with monthly service bill.
- Excludes payments for satellite radio services and subscriptions with streaming television providers.
Our Verdict
A lot of people are earning 5x Ultimate Rewards points on your cable/tv bills already, so this isn’t an incredible deal. Might still be useful for some people.

These offers are only on non-co-branded cards
Actually P3 has it on Hilton Surpass .(5 back for 100 up to 4 times) So co-brand cards can also be eligible.
Just don’t have it on any AUs. P2 has a different version that is slightly better: 5% up to 20 total.
Has anyone tried on AT&T Fiber? If not I can make a $5 payment and see if it works.

I had a bunch of loaded AMEX offers finally expire, so I was finally able to see these offers to verify which card I had them loaded on. Just paid $125 on my Verizon FiOS bill and immediately got email that I had redeemed both the cable and cell phone offers Obviously this is not a great deal if you’re only getting $5 back on a $100 or $125 purchase, but it’s worth doing if you get $10, plus the 1%.

Yes, you would but I don’t do Autopay on my FiOS account.

I get 5% back on my FiOS bill with my US Bank Cash+ card, and I use the FiOS account for numerous small credit card charges ($1-2.49) that get forgiven each month and 15 $1.0x charges to get 3.3% interest at Evansville FCU. Better than autopay.
Has anyone who got and activated the offer been able to see it after you load it to your card? It seems like AMEX is now maxing out showing added offers at 150, but according to the app I have 204 added on this card. The website has a way of filtering and I thought that used to show offers that weren’t showing up n the new list but I do not see it that way, and the app only shows 100 and does not have a filtering option. This offer expires in October, so it’s going to be at or near the end of the list of activated offers.
Got it on my blue cash but still use CIC as that’s 5% already.
Got the $5/100 limit 4 uses on my BCP and also got $5/125 cell phone offer on the same card. Will use it for FiOS and hope that both offers apply. There seems to be some indication that it will, either in the comments here or another thread.
Also got 5% on insurance up to $15.
