Will an Instacart Gift Card purchase trigger the credit?
I got one $50 credit through purely organic spend.
I spent another $60 subsequently, and then purchased a $190 gift card on the Instacart app. Nowhere in the terms does it say gift card purchases are excluded. However the coding seems different (launch gift cards, inc) from a regular Instacart purchase.
I hope I get the credit automatically but if I don’t I intend to pursue it as the terms did not exclude it.
Any luck? I’m in a fight with them right now to get the credit as I agree, it’s not excluded in the terms, and when buying the gift card it appeared to be Instacart’s page.
My first credit was triggered. Seems like Amex has fixed the issues. I did multiple transactions, and it looks like monthly fee for the Express also counted towards the spent. Still have two months to do the second spending requirement, gonna be tough.
Amex just sweetened the deal by adding another offer with Instacart Express:
Spend $29 or more by 9/30/21, get $29 back. Enroll by 6/30/21. Exp 9/30/2021
Instacart Express Membership (Annual or Monthly)
I already used the two free months Instacart Express from Master Card and will use Amex after the 2 months.
This makes the deal much more attractive as Instacart fees add up quite a bit and the prices are frequently jacked up vs in-store prices (at least $1 to $5 more for each item, Best Buy generally does $5)
I also got 30% off up to 200 limited time promo from Instacart this week, this one may be targeted.
A few purchase from COSTCO BY INSTACART with the last transaction on February 3 totaling $250. Got the $50 credit on February 8.
I hit over $250 on instacart almost 2 weeks ago, still no credit. Are you guys seeing a delay in credits too?

I chatted with an Amex Rep and they basically said no, once you reach $250 the counter starts back at zero for the next transaction (even if you hit $250 with a $500 transaction).
Any positive DPs yet ? Does the express membership count ?
Does anyone know if you would still receive $50 if you use an Instacart offer in the same grocery order? I’ve got an Instacart $20 off $100 offer and wondering if this will stack?

Does this work on instacart purchases at costco? Shows up on statement as costco by instacart
If you buy from instacart.com, it should as it typically codes as INSTACART
If you buy from sameday.costco.com, it will code as costco as you mentioned and most likely will not trigger the amex bonus.
Nope, it codes as Costco by Instacart, Should still work for the promo but I would not count on Amex to figure this out automatically.
