AmEx Offers: JetBlue, Spend $200 & Get $50 Back

Update 4/29/25: Deal is back and valid through 7/28/25

The Offer

Check your AmEx Offers for the following deal:

  • Get a one-time $50 statement credit by using your enrolled eligible Card to spend a minimum of $200 in one or more transactions direct with JetBlue by 11/30/2023. Flight must originate in the U.S. and purchase must be in USD. See terms.

The Fine Print

  • Offer valid for purchases made directly with JetBlue online at US website jetblue.com, via mobile app, or by phone via 1-800-JETBLUE.
  • Flights must originate in the US.
  • Valid only on purchases made in US dollars.
  • Valid on JetBlue Airways and JetBlue Vacations. In-flight purchases, baggage, pets, cancellation and change fees, and Business and group travel are included.
  • Excludes bookings via third party sites or agencies. Not valid for Terminal 5 transactions at JFK airport, Charters, Corporate Shuttles, Cargo, the purchase of points, booking a parking spot and JetBlue employee Lodge.
  • Excludes Shopjetblue.com, Allianz Travel Protection Program, Paisly, and Hotels.JetBlue.com. Offer is non-transferable.
  • Limit of 1 statement credit per Card Member.

Our Verdict

Very nice discount and widely available. Save it on your Platinum card, if you have one, since it earns 5x on flights. Many have noted that if you book out a flight in the future and cancel, you’ll bank the refund to be used for a year and thus lock in the discount.

Does this work to buy TravelBank credit? Will the credit trigger?

In the past, I’ve spent just over $200 to get the credit, then cancel the flight > 24 hours later and it gets added to TravelBank. You have 1 year to use it (kinda sucks), but at least you get for close to 25% off.

Will this stack with incidental credit?

I am not sure it is a new variation, but the exp for mine was originally 11/30, but now in the offer it shows up as 12/31. So it might just be an update to the existing offer

Anyone get credited by Amex for this offer? I didn’t get that “Congrats, you used your offer” email after my purchase and now it’s been several days with no credit. Other offers have routinely been credited in the past few weeks within 3-5 days.

Amex doesn’t always send out confirmation email for all offers but if you check the Savings tab, you should see the credit there few days before it’s posted. Also, the offer would disappear in the Added tab one day after eligible purchase.

this isn’t directly related but some of the other stuff have been slower to post in Nov for me, so may just be a few more days.

What do you buy as a Christmas present for your worst enemy? A flight on JetBlue. Guaranteed to make them pull their hair out when their flight almost guaranteed gets cancelled or delayed.
I mean seriously, even after the Southwest meltdown last Christmas, Jetblue is still being ranked lower than them.
