Reader Larry sent us an image of a new Amex Offers tracker which shows whether you have any remaining uses on the offer. Many other readers confirm seeing this as well. Not sure if it’s found on computer or limited to the app.
Readers note that the tracker does not show how much you have left on partially-used offers. Apparently, it’s just meant to confirm when you’ve used up an offer to avoid confusion about whether you can use it again. Not long ago, Amex added other clarifications to their systems, including signup bonus tracker emails and a signup bonus eligibility check.
Some Amex Offers allow doing the same offer two or three times – on those it should show “1 left” or “2 left” after using the offer once.
Related, reader Larry notes that the tracker is indicating the offer used up on a card that it was never used on, apparently due to the fact that it was used on a different card. Seemingly, Amex is enforcing the limit one-per person even on offers already saved. So, for example, if you have the $30 off $300 Best Buy offer already saved on multiple cards (from before the big August 1 change when Amex limited us to one per person), you’ll only be able to use it once. This change won’t matter for future offers, but could matter tremendously for a few terrific offers we have already have saved on many Amex cards.
Update: It seems multiple offers are still working fine, in practice. (DP1, DP2)
