Our Verdict

The Body Shop sells only e-gift cards online, but they do sell physical gift cards in store. According to Gift Card Wiki there are a few sites currently paying 79% for these gift cards (and stock is relatively low at the moment). If you resold a $50 gift card you’d get $39.5 back (and you’d be paying $35 after the $15 statement credit) so you basically make $4.5 per card plus any credit card rewards you’d earn. Probably not worth going out of your way for unless you have a lot of cards, but I’d still add it to your accounts and you can always pick some up if you’re near a physical location.

Update: You can also get an extra 4% back by enrolling the Amex card in the Ebates in-store cash back program.

I’d recommend reading these 12 things you should know about American Express offers if you have any questions regarding them.

tried to get GCs today, I told them I am planning to buy 18 GC with different cards. my Body shop people were real pain…first they wouldn’t even allow me to buy more than one. then they called manager to confirm and came back with “okay fine” then another lady next to one who started ringing my gc, couldn’t digest the fact and “called” again to manager. This time manager only was allowing three gc, period. I was baffled but didn’t argue.

anyone else faced the same situation? maybe they just got scared I had 20 credit cards 🙂 I don’t plan to go again as its out of my way and whole thing turned me off.

I went the other day and the only store in my area were completely out of gc with no idea when more would be coming in. They probably don’t stock too many gc.

I successfully registered my cards for the eBates in store cash back and linked the deal. The cashback showed up today. Got an extra $2 of profit per card!

Have 6 credit cards, serve and bluebird. Can make $36 out of this offer and if ebates cashback works then it can be a total of $52 which seems to be great for little effort. How trustworthy is abcgift ards to sell these?
