[Expired] Best Western: Redeem 10,000 Points For Any Hotel In North America (Excludes Friday/Saturday Nights)

Deal has expired, view more Best Western deals by clicking here.

The Offer

Direct link to offer

  • Best Western is allowing you to redeem 10,000 points (or less) for any Best Westen property in North America between November 15, 2018 and January 15, 2019.

The Fine Print

  • Blackout Dates: Discounted nights will only be available Sunday through Thursday nights and exclude stays on November 22, 2018, December 24, 2018, December 25, 2018, December 31, 2018, and January 1, 2019.

Our Verdict

Normally the most expensive Best Western hotel will cost you 36,000 points, so this is a significant savings. Unfortunately the Friday/Saturday night exclusion rules out weekend away trips, so that’s really disappointing and limits this promotion a lot. There isn’t really a good source of Best Western points, the personal card is currently offering 50,000 points but i wouldn’t be going for that unless I had a specific redemption in mind.

Keep in mind that you can purchase up to 20K BW rewards in increments of 1,000 at the rate of $10 /1,000 points. So even if you have 0 BW points, you could spend $100 to purchase 10,000 points and then book a room under this offer. You need to call customer service to purchase the points.

heading to denver in a month, got a 10K room that i had already reserved last week at 20K. They say you’ll be billed at the correct rate, but it was easier to cancel/reserve again rather than trust. Got 1.4 cents worth of value which is great for BW points (TPG values them at .7 each, which would be the case normally since this is a 20K room).

If you’re lucky you will be able to see through the water at the “high end” Best Westerns….

I think it can be useful for “around-holiday” plans since the holidays themselves are excluded.
For example, I had already managed to snag the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas for 80,000 Hilton points on 12/31, but didn’t have enough points for two nights. I just booked the Stratosphere Hotel Las Vegas (“BW Premier Collection”) on 12/30 for 10,000 points, while the going rate is $240+tax. We’ll be hotel hopping but it’s a good redemption as far as I’m concerned.

I am impressed! Didn’t know anyone else did hotel hopping. Great use of points.

coincidentally I did this past summer. we loved the beach there (we had an oceanfront room). place was decent, rooms were clean and well maintained. Breakfast was “ok” – acceptable set of foods, crowded space. Staff were nice. we had a jacuzzi room and loved sitting in there watching the sun set.
