Bestbuy.com is offering a free 6-month digital subscription to Apple News+ for new subscribers ($9.99/month regular cost).
- SD members report that those who had Apple News+ in the past can also use the same downloaded code and it works for them to get a 5-month subscription.
Bestbuy.com is also offering a free 6-month digital subscription to Apple Music for new subscribers.

Our Verdict

Not sure how valuable this is, but should be useful to some. Code expires on Feb 6, 2022.

Important: This auto-renews at $9.99/month, so be sure to set yourself a reminder and cancel before getting hit by a charge if you don’t want to pay.

Note: you can cancel the free trial right away to stop the auto-renewal but keep using it for 6 months

Slickdealer Hello Slickdealer For News+ or Music, It says underneath that if you cancel now, you will lose access immediately? For Apple TV+, it says you will continue to have access though. You’re saying that you canceled right away for both Music and News+ and you still get access to both? Please confirm? Thank you.

dan For both News+ and Music, when you click to cancel, a pop-up will appear indicating that if you cancel now, you’ll still have access until the trial expiration date. You then have to confirm that to cancel (you could back out at that point if for some reason you wanted to), and access does continue until the end of the trial period.

According to SD, it appears now that music is 3 months for non new subs for Apple Music and 6 months for new subs.

I was already on a 3 month free trial (also from BB with purchase of an Apple gift card) and this code worked for me to add another 5 months on top. Took my expiration to Nov 2021. Cancelling auto renew is simple and doesn’t take away access to your remaining trial period

Sadly, I was also already in a 3 month trial, and when I tried to apply the redemption code, I got a message stating the offer was only for new subscriptions.

I’m on a 5-month News+ trial from the T-Mobile Tuesday deal, and I just successfully added a News+ code from BB to extend it another 5 months, till December. I tried to add a second News+ code from BB to extend it till May 2022 and it wouldn’t let me.

Jeff Huh, strange, I remember it being T-Mobile, but you’re right, I can’t find that anywhere. Must’ve been some other kind of deal because I know I received some free News+ trial that bridged the one from BB last July and this one.
