The link says 3 nights, did it change from 4? Could have sworn that is said 4 nights yesterday when I clicked.

quit while u r ahead. Just returned from FL, where I attended Wyndham in every major tourist spot. Wyndham charges $0.00 and gives you 7-nights free + some money. Never pay one penny to these Bluegreen morons

It’s crazy to give ANY cash to Blue green. Bigger timeshares pay YOU to attend. Why do people here pay Blue green instead??

This was the only timeshare tour I ever did, in about 2006, and it was brutal. The guy took the full three hours and we had a squirming toddler on our lap the entire time.

just did one every day for a week (in Orlando). Compensation ranges $150-$500 arguably. My partner of other gender was attending in parallel, same compensation. Do they pay well elsewhere, other than Orlando?)

you’re not familiar with tour reception practice. If they see possible connection (same origin city) between a male about to tour and a female about to tour, then reception requires they tour “together”; this results in one gift – opposed to two gifts

I did this summer 2021 in new hampshire, had a newbie person. The presentation started late but the actual person talk was short. The person was new put the person helping them for finance figured out it did not make sense so out of there in about a bit over 2 hours. Now we walked though the hotel several hours later and some people where getting out from our group, so that would put them at 5 hours total.

you’re going over nonsense. Everything is decided PRIOR. Absolutely nothing can change in presentation or after it.

The entire gist is negotiating compensation PRIOR

called into the number a few days ago, and after some talking, the salesperson offered me either the 30k in points or $150 in mc gc, and the $25 gc for booking w/in 30 days as on the website, but wouldn’t offer me anything else. in hindsight, i probably wasn’t being direct enough. also told me that if I didn’t lock in now that I couldn’t call back in and do this promo which I knew wasn’t true, and she also claimed that this promo was flying off the shelves, which I also had a hard time believing. it was a little pressure-y but respectful of my decision when I had to say no because of the uncertainty of our times.

the second time i called in today was indirectly through choice customer service. i noticed they redirect you to the bluegreens pitch at the end of each call. the agent offered me $100 gc for the same offer. When i pointed out the 30k in points and $25 gc offer and all other times i called choice hotels cs with bigger offers, he miraculously came back with $200 gc offer and the additional $25 gc for booking w/in the month. this salesperson was very high pressure, i could barely get any questions in before he would ask me for my credit card at every moment he could.

he was a much better salesman than the first one i talked to, thats for sure. he made it sound like their 30 day refund policy was something he was something he was adding just for me. anyway, it was good practice for the actual presentation. he also mentioned that if you can’t do the promo within the year, they would be willing to extend especially if you have the upper tier status with choice, i don’t know how true that is since i don’t see that in the terms in the email confirmation. anyway, a free vacation is a free vacation. kind of excited to go to this presentation and point out why the resale value of their properties is $1. 😂

Thanks for the long narration. May I ask for one sentence: how much are you pre-paying, and what are you walking out with?

It’s almost exactly the same as the 30k points offer above, the only difference is you get a $200 mcgc after the presentation instead of 30k points so I’ll net $26, which should cover some of the taxes and fees.

Pre-COVID they had better Offers/deals.

Past February we did 7Nights/8Days in Orlando at BG fountains -$200 MCGC, tickets for 3Days @ WDW parks 4 adults (think they also had 5days @Universal parks for 4 adults same price).

1,300 SF Condo, 2 Bedroom (2 Queen/ 1King/ & Queen sofa bed in common living room) 2 baths.

Full Kitchen with full size appliances, coffee machine (normal) unlimited bags of coffee, Tea and creamer, microwave popcorn, detergent (dish/laundry). Stocked kitchen with dishes, pots & pans etc .stacking W/D. Built in dish washer.

Flew our MIL in, other in-laws drove in and stayed for three day weekend. We did do several meals in Condo, Publix 1-2 miles down the road.

$1,399 ( meet part of a MSR) but WDW tickets would have cost us almost a grand, also subtract the $200 MCGC from the cost.

Presention was low-pressure, even moreso when they can’t overcome all the Points, and all the aspirational travel trip photos taken on points.

Intially, I asked “can I airBNB it” (you can’t), “why does the resale market start at $1 for your properties”, I printed several point packages.

You could also get the deal without park tickets for 7N also a deal with MCGC for quite a bit less.

But IMHO it makes sense sense to wait – cause I think you have to wait 24m between churn errr presentations.

I love long posts, if the gist is upfront. What were you out-of-pocket, $1,399 + some taxes?? I’m lost

“7Nights/8Days in Orlando at BG fountains

$200 MC GC
4 tickets for 3 Days @ Disney parks or
4 Tix for 5 days @ Universal parks
1,300 SF Condo sleeps “6” persons

Net $1,199 + $70ish in taxes

TL;DR

Clear now. So Orlando 2bdm week is always free from Wyndham. But you paid $1270 for tix. Awful deal

Don’t feel badly, YoniPDX. I notice that although BlueGreen is the lowest tier of timeshares, they stick to high pricing…Similar to supermarkets in bad areas, who don’t sport any REAL sales, or loss-leaders. BlueGreen just low-balls their target market, gift-wise

when they read me the 3 conditions for doing the promotion, they mentioned not doing a bluegreen presentation in the last 15 months, where did you find the 24 month language? maybe the period has changed because of the pandemic?

where did you find the 24m language for presentations? when i called in, one of the conditions they listed was not doing a presentation w/in 15m, maybe they have relaxed the 24m period because of the pandemic?

not seeing the $499 so called “deal”. Is this the marketing-person posting?? How can $499 be “worth it”, if Wyndham gives 7-nights for $0.00

December 14, 2020 23:21

Hi. TO add clarity. I paid 499 to get 7 nights deal at any of their properties. Understand you may not call it a deal. It was my first time share rodeo.

What I am saying is presentation was no pressure. The property was amazing I am just saying 499 was sell spent. I believe I got 100 dollar master card gift card as well to attend presentation.

P.S. This was 2018.

Tony
Tony (@guest_1109351)
December 15, 2020 00:49

So I assume you paid $499+tax. And forgot to first say -$100

I really don’t understand people who let BlueGreen get away with their low-ball gifting. BlueGreen needs to be brought up to Wyndham’s gifting level of at least 7-nights free

Ah, cool, one post recommends buying 50 masks; another recommends doing an aggressive 2-hour in-person sales pitch. Any good deals on indoor bars/restaurants?

Tony
Tony (@guest_1108891)
December 14, 2020 15:08

if anyone did receive 50 masks for $2, that was good. Masks are mandated at many places your family passes thru. As to pitch: everyone wears mask. Plastic partitions. Presenter’s aggression is worthless; let him do whatever he wants on his part of partition. 120min later, he owes sign-out to gifting.

So there is only one variable: how much was a gift contractually pre-agreed. The highest I’ve seen was 7-night stay + cash/additional voucher. Here: BlueGreen offer is 4 nights+$0. WHERE CAN I SIGN-UP for higher gift?

Tony
Tony (@guest_1108998)
