Bread Financial (Comenity Bank) Website Down (Payments Can’t Be Made, Cards Being Declined)

Bread Financial/Comenity Bank website has been down since June 27, 2022. Unfortunately customers have been unable to login to make payments and other features. Bread Financial/Comenity has responded by stating that late fees will be waived if your due date fell ebtween June 27 – July 2 and if the outage continues the late fee waiver will be extended. In addition miss payments will not affect credit scores.

Unfortunately cardholders have also reported that their cards aren’t working and payments are not being processed.

I still cannot login to check my status. I think I owe for 6 more months? My payments have been coming out automatically and the last one was November 6, but I want to make sure I’m not overpaying… Frustrating

I paid off the card months ago and it’s still showing on my credit report the balance is still there. How slow are these people.

It is September 7, 2022. I have been trying for three days to pay my bill. The website still is down. What are the alternatives to paying a bill? Can you pay the bill in the store?

Working for me now. I’m on the fence about keeping this account. If July’s missing small balance credit was just another technical glitch and the credit returns, I’ll probably keep the card, hoping this outage was a one-time thing; it’s worth it for me. But if the credit doesn’t come back or if I continue to have issues managing my account, I’ll kill the card.

Nothing but headaches from comminity bread. They are wrecking everyones credit. Get out while you can and good luck. The sooner you start the better, it’s taken me three months to close the account and still fighting to get it properly reported to the credit bureaus.

I used to work there as a software engineer. They started stopping raises and promotions and hiring contractors to replace the engineers. Now nothing works and it’s a shitshow internally. Now they’re getting sued. I hope this company crashes and burns with how incompetent their management is. Hire shitty contractors and this is what you get

Still down for me. What a mess.

Anyone know if automatic payments are being processed? I typically have all my CC accounts setup to autopay full balance on the due date. My card had been sold to Comenity/Bread only recently and I think I had set up autopay, but not sure. I’d go online to check my account, but, you know.

Also, any idea whether a payment pushed from an external billpay site (e.g. from my credit union) would be processed? I may do that, even at the risk of making a double payment, just to avoid the potential hassle of getting late fees and interest reversed, etc.

Paid my bill off IN FULL with no balance left on 7/7/22, after 3 days of trying to pay by phone and email during this “so called outage.” Then I get another bill in the mail stating I only paid $26.00 of the $26.15 balance I had left. I don’t think so. It was paid complete in full and on time , and they have the audacity to send me a bill with a late fee of $28.30. More than my entire balance that I even had left on my account. Get your s***! together people. This is disgusting!

Actually, Bread Financial/Comenity Bank’s credit card services/store credit card system has been down since June 22nd and it is still down. It has been over 21 days and I have not been able to verify charges/view my online account/pay my bill. It’s near impossible to reach someone in customer service. Easy Pay, based on consumer reports on Comenity’s FB page, is a nightmare – taking double charges out of people’s accounts, not applying the money correctly to accounts, etc. Check out their FB page, you will see the nightmare that customers are dealing with and the ridiculous generic responses that they are providing customers. There is something more nefarious going on than a system upgrade failure unless they have kindergartners working on the solution. There will be a mass exodus/cancelation of cards once individuals can verify their charges and pay their bills. No one needs this type of hassle!

I still cannot login because it’s not sending the verification code email. I was able to check the balance over the phone that the small balance has been zeroed out.
