The Fine Print
- Purchases made with your Frontwave Visa Signature Rewards credit card will earn 4X points from 11/1/2021 – 12/31/2021.
- Points earned through 11/1/2021 – 11/31/2021 will be paid and available to redeem on 12/25/2021; points earned through 12/1/2021 – 12/31/2021 will be paid and available to redeem on 1/25/2022. 4X points will be issued on purchases for any rewards cards used and attached to the primary rewards account. 40,000 bonus points will be awarded if purchases total $3,000 or more within 90 days of account opening for new Frontwave Visa Signature Rewards credit cards opened between 11/1/2021 – 12/31/2021. Exclusions: Balance transfers, cash advances, returns, or merchant credit do not qualify for 4X points or toward 40,000 bonus point offer.

Our Verdict
Card also earns 4x points until 12/31/21 as well. Points are worth 1¢ each when redeemed towards statement credit. They also offer a $100 checking bonus. Membership is restricted so most people won’t be eligible to apply. Must also Live, work or worship in either San Diego, Riverside or San Bernardino counties according to the checking bonus.

Confirmed getting 7x points on VVGCs.
Ok stupid question. When you redeem for cash, there’s only a spot for an acct#. No routing. So I’m assuming this needs to be your 10 digit FW acct# and not the 7 digit member# right?

I’m guessing you meant 40k. Just checked my account and see them as well! So much for all the hassle below…
The weird thing is that I can’t even pay the 3k balance on CC from the external bank account as they treat it as “transfer” and limit external transfers to $2010 per day so have to schedule two separate transfers. There is also an auto-generated minimum balance payment scheduled on the due date and I can’t figure out a way how to delete it… What a sh*tshow.
Yes I meant 40k. And I agree the user interface has some major issues. But I feel it was worth the effort, as my husband and I both did it. Not going to keep this bank account & CC much longer.
A little update on the bonus: my 4x posted (not on 1/25 but soon after). The 40k bonus has not posted so I called both Frontwave (800-736-4500) and their rewards administrator (888-891-9283). Both pointed out that the offer was set to expire in August of last year. When I told them that I have the printout saved showing 11/1-12/31 application period, rewards admin made a case to research and Frontwave asked me to secure message them the print out. Just heard back from Frontwave stating that “eligibility” for 40k bonus will be determined 90 days after the end of the promo. To me, that sounds like end of March but for some reason, the rep stated that by the end of February and I will have 40k bonus points awarded at the end of February.
Can you share the printout? I did not save it, did not get the 40k bonus so will have to call in tomorrow. thank you

Update: Just checked the account and saw the 40k bonus posted today 2/2. Was just about to call in, so I’d suggest checking the account first to see if it was posted today.
So I guess I ignore all of the above. 40k points magically posted on 2/2 as others have mentioned (account opened 12/3 if it helps anyone).

4x posted but still no 40k signup bonus. Called 800-736-4500, they transferred me to their rewards administrator, 888-891-9283. They have the record of this promo but expiring in August. They don’t have the record of it being extended to 12/31/2021. Created a case for escalation team to review with the bank, supposedly a week to hear back.
got the 4x, still no sign up bonus. Anybody wondered how to actually redeem the cash back? only let you enter a checking account number, no routing number???

I was able to get cashback but had to deposit into my frontwave checking account.

Called the toll free 800-736-4500 number this morning, was told they will forward my information to the rewards department for review. I will follow up tomorrow if don’t get a response.
UPDATE: I just got the 40k points, on 2/2/22. I heard the same thing- that you have to wait 90 days from account opening to get the 40k bonus. However for me it was around 70 days.
After several weeks I was approved. Lots of back and forth but everyone was very nice. Did not have to go in. Only the VS gets the promo so make sure you qualify. 5k minimum limit I believe.
Completed – Just waiting on the payout at this point.

Went into a branch today. They need Experian to be unlocked to open the checking account. But once that was opened, was told I was pre-approved for the credit card- yea! They are overnighting the credit card for no additional cost.
