Can You Stack Chase Offers? (No)

As you know by now Chase has rolled out Chase offers, a competitor to American Express offers. One unknown until recently is what happens if you get two offers for the same store, do they both trigger or only one? With American Express the offers stack, unfortunately with Chase the offers do not stack. We know this because recently Chase rolled out a 30% at Panera, some people were able to add this to a card that already had a 15% back offer. According to the comments it looks like whatever offer expires first will be used first, but that might not be the case. If you have a datapoint that goes against this, let us know.

How to heck to access chase offers? I do not see any chase offer on my Business chase cards either on laptop/desktop via internet browser at chase.com, nor do i see any chase offer on any of my chase Bz cards on chase mobile app or chase pay app on iphone……..Called chase customer service and chase technical support and none of those morons have a clue about it…………wish this was as easy as Amex offers……….SIGHS!!!!!

Ya folks have any clue how to see them for my business cards esp staples offer on chase innk Bz cash card?

Chase offers are available only on personal cards, not on any of the biz CCs.

I also just found out (through SM) that Chase goes by the date a transaction posts to your account and NOT the date of transaction. I made a purchase on December 29, 2018 for an offer that expired December 31, 2018. Because the transaction didn’t post until January 4, 2019 (SIX DAYS LATER), the promotion/offer didn’t apply. Has anyone else had a similar experience? What kind of BS is this?

I was bummed that for the United one, I booked two tickets. It showed pending as one chart and then split it into two charges. Because it was two charges I only got the cashback on one of them.

For my Staples offers, it redeemed the 10% first which was first added to my card.

….and which was also the first to expire.

Based on reading the data points here and elsewhere, I’m pretty sure that it’s not based on which was added first OR which is more valuable. Rather, the one expiring sooner gets used first. That’s probably designed to be in our favor and usually will be, although with the Staples offer the more valuable one had a later expiry so for those who wanted to just get the 30% and not bother with the 10% one, they couldn’t. Have to wait until the 10% expires, and then use the 30%. For most, hopefully the 10% expired 12/31,

Yes, judging by the above dp’s, it’s the one that expires first that gets used first. That’s why there’s so much confusion.

It might just randomly pick an offer, not based on expiration date. Here’s a data point of someone who had both offers on 2 cards, and a different offer was triggered on the different cards:

Also, it might be possible to contact Chase to get them to apply a different offer, after the credit from the other offer posts: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/chase-offers-save-30-at-staples-max-19-potential-stack-with-additional-10-offer/#comment-697788

I added 30% off for staples after i already had 10%. The 10% got redeemed first, i still have the 30% offer on the account.

I added 30% staples first, then 10%. 30% was redeemed on one card. Waiting on the other card (on that one I believe I added the 10% first). Oh well, I’ll just have to go get another gift card for Mfg spend. Either way, makes it free or money maker.

”Redeems the most valuable offer first”, this may not be true. I had both 10% and 30% offers for staples on the same card, and 10% applied.

I was targeted for both Staples offers on one of my cards; too bad it wasn’t the Ink+. My guess is that the offer that expires first gets used first given that the 10% Staples offer expired 12/31/18 and the 30% one doesn’t expire until 1/24/19.
